Jessup Schedule-Coach Ruthie

Thanks for that. Maybe that will be a get together for us all. Show up for a game together in our Monarch's gear & support Ruthie. We can grab some eats as well.

Works for me.

Hmmmm

She has more games in My neck of the woods and it is easier to check out the games for me in the Bay Area.

Roseville. That sound like a long ways away for The Afro-Licious one.

But I love a gathering. Perhaps a weekend event.

It scared me at first cuz I thought I could never get there by 5:30 (opener). Now I see it is on a Saturday. Count me in. Can we carpool?

So What's up with the Opener???

So Folks are we going?

Any resturants we can hang out at afterwards?

Anyone know how to get there?

Who is bringing the Camera?

By the way. They are a great group of kids at WJU.
At least the kids I met.
And I think they would get a Kick out of the Monarch fan base turning out to see them.

Their colors are Blue and White. So if we can Squeeze some Royal Blue in the color scheme I think they would appreciate it.

Let's do it. MBF, are you going to be in town? Are you planning on going?

As far as I know right I'm in town that weekend (minus some obligations in Davis that morning) and I definitely have it on my calendar to go.

I work at NEC and could be helpful with directions or info. It takes me about 35 minutes to drive there from Sac. They may or may not allow cameras in the building. I can find out. I plan on going also.
You've all probably figured out by now that I'm new to this site, although I have been reading it for a while now. I really wanted to go to the viewing party, but had to miss it because I work on alternate Sundays and that was one of them.

Welcome eu4bia. Any info is appreciated. I have no idea where Jessup is. :o

Glad to have you among us, and please post more.

Dang! I cannot make the game on the 19th. I have been scheduled to work on the 19th from 2-8 p.m.

The games are not at Jessup, they don't have a gym yet. They will be at NEC, it's an electronics company on Foothills Blvd. There is a fine map on the Jessup website, exactly the directions I would have given. It's the second entrance, on your right. There is a security shack, tell them that you are going to the basketball game and they will direct you. See you all there.

Anyone been there yet? Like, can we get tickets at the door and how much? On the web page it just talks about being an angel or something and getting in for free.

I called Jessup - the school is Division 2, National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, vs Sac State's Division 1 of NCAA. Games cost $3.00 and are usually not sold out.

That was an awesome game. We won!! Ruthie's girls were really good, but short! They gotta really jump to make their baskets and there were no dunks! There were about 10 of us there and we got to chat with Ruthie after. She was pleased to see us, all dressed in purple! We went to At The Border after and had a really great time. The girls play at 5:30 so the guys can play after. So after the girls won, half the crowd got up and left. he he

Cool to see coach Ruthie...she's calm & cool on the sidelines. The roster was small due to injuries & eligebility. Ruthie talked about how she makes sure her players are in shape, so that they can withstand alot of minutes.

Nice hanging out with you all. Lets do it again soon.

Thanks for the report. I had hoped to make that game and even asked to not be scheduled to work (at my second job). But, alas, they scheduled me to work anyway.

The two December games with Ruthie's Jessup Women's Basketball team are Saturday the 10th @ 5:30 with CSU-East Bay and Monday the 12th @ 5:30 with Oregon Institute of Technology. Cost is $5.00, unless you are a student.

Anyone ready for another BBall game?

I cannot do any weekday games because they start too early for me. I am also committed to working Saturday the 10th.

We were talking about the schedule at our Stanford/Tennessee post game hamburger party and it was brought up that there are a lot of weekend games in January. Most of us said that we would plan on a game or 2 that month....after the holidays.
