Anyone see the end of that game? Hornets up 76-75, Jazz miss a long jumper almost at the buzzer. One of them tips up the miss and it completely circles the rim and falls out. Ouch.

Stockton got his number retired at the game.

Yup Johny is one of the greats! I know a lot of posters on here are not big fans of his but you can't look at those kinds of stats and not be impressed.

Congrats to Stockton!!!, I think he is the epitome of what an NBA player should be about.
And there'd be street signs all over the country, much like this one I took on Saturday!

They forgot to mention how he was a very rough and dirty player. Bruce Bowen probably has his picture posted in his locker!

He wasn't dirty, but he was crafty. He just let himself get run over a lot. He never tried or meant to hurt anyone like Bowen who tries to sprain ankles on a nightly basis.
he was dirty -- threw a lot of elbows along with flopping and grabbing and clutching. Would cheat for all it was worth.

But he wasn't mean/dirty like his running mate -- hard to imagine him ever actually trying to hurt somebody.

Stockton was only as dirty as he could get away with and only as clean as he had to be. He got the job done, did not worry about opponents feelings, but never went out of his to do anything but win.
