what has happened to this guy... he cant penetrate no more he cant create no more and hes scared s***less to try and do so... my oh my what did hubie brown do to this poor guy... hes definatley miles away from where he was as a player in sacto... watching him is kinda sad cause hes what turned me into a kings fan but now i really dont even think hes starting material in the nba anymore regardless if he has a ring or not cause wade helped a couple undeserving players get rings.

It has more to do with those knee surgeries he had this year. He just isn't that quick anymore and can't penetrate like he used to.

Hubie Brown didn't tell him not to penetrate. He made him stop shooting those absurd off-balance three point shots and to cut down on those crazy passes. I believe he led the league in assist to turnover ratio one or two times in Memphis. If anything, Hubie told him to stop shooting those stupid 3 point shots and drive to the basket instead.

Don't get me wrong, the Kings were my favorite team (outside of the Rockets) when J-Dub played in Sacto but there's a reason why the Kings went to another level with Mike Bibby. That style of play just doesn't work in the NBA. Although, considering how bad Rafer Alston is playing, I wouldn't mind if he goes And1 on us.
