Jason Hart Trade Proposal

speedy claxton of the atlanta hawks just went down with a broken finger/hand... he will be out 5-6 weeks... the hawks will probably be looking for a cheap replacement with a 1 year contract...

how about jason hart to the hawks for their 2nd round pick in the 2007 draft... this would work, because the hawks are below the salary cap and hart has only one year left on his contract... the 2nd round pick will be a high 2nd rounder... giving the kings esentially a low 1st rounder, without the guarenteed money... the hawks would get a solid replacement for claxton, the kings will get a high 2nd round pick...

I'd do it. Not because of the second round draft pick, but just to move Hart.

i thought the same thing when i saw claxton was going to be out. But Claxton should be back by the first week of the regular season. But Hart as a semi experienced pg to take on duties until then wouldn't be a bad idea by the Hawks. He is cheap and is expiring and looks like they could actually need him for a bit maybe longer who knows.

if we could somehow trade hart and vitaly for draft picks that'd be nice...

Jason Hart is untradable
No one is untradeable. Kings traded a second rounder for Hart so it would seem to be his market value, but honeslty I suspect getting rid of Hart can best be done in a package with other players. Of course since this is his last year on contract I would ONLY want to see him traded for a second round pick since those are nongaurenteed contracts.:D

I almost hate to say it, but the Kings might want to make absolutely sure one of their many candidates for the backup spot (Price/Douby/Salmons) is actually better than Hart before letting him go.

I sure the heck hope these guys are better than Hart, otherwise we are in for a very long season. Our front court should be the only one with swiss cheese holes, not our back court as well. Hart isn't a bad defender, but than again just about anyone looks like a defensive stud next to Bibby and Brad. A big part of the lack of defense from those two is the amount of minutes they log and how important that are to our offensive game. Hart was o.k. in garbage time, but that's not exactly saying much now is it? I'm really wanting to see how Price does and Douby, and also Salmons, but John can play a few positions. Since we have too many players on the roster, I really hope that Jason's expiring deal is enough to trade him for a 2nd rounder or bundle him up somehow to get some utility out of him. I really want Justin Williams, and Amundson, Douby/Price to get some meaningful playing time. I really want us to part ways with Hart and Potatoehead and give Justin Williams and the other young guys a roster spot and playing time.

Well if that turns out to be true then the Kings are in crap so deep that even jason Hart could dig them out of it. ;)

Garcia is and I have LITTLE problems with him being the main back-up PG if the above aforementioned three don't fit...

everyone knows artest is our backup PG. =)

And he will abuse you if you try to guard him tight. :D

I love how he beats up the competition, he doesn't need to throw a punch to do his work, he just keeps smacking you with his muscles that the person guarding him is crying for mercy. :D
