January Games for the CAP NBA Live 2005 Dynasty

C Diddy postgame interview. Reporter asked, "What do you bring to this talented bunch and how does it feel to be a King"

I bring instant offense and energy. That's what I do. That's why I was brought in. Whether it's finding my teammates for easy looks or knocking down the open J. Kingsrock is our star, so I feed him whenever I can. I don't need to play above the rim in my limited stents but if they are gonna leave the lane open, I'm gonna take it. Solid all around effort by the team. Let's keep the momentum going. It feels great to be a part of the team. Can't wait to keep going and showing what we can do.

Jesus Shuttlesworth's Post Game Comments

"I can not say enough about this squad. How we were able to bounce back from that horrid defeat against Denver. Man, i was wondering what was going on. But with C Diddy in the mix, I do believe we are balancing out. My job as usual is to be a beast on the inside and grab rebounds".

Miles Clipper, when asked about the difference in his performance in the first and second games against the Clippers:

First, I want to thank BIC. He made some nice comments about my double-double. That was cool, man...

Well, I think the first game was a little bit of excitement and adrenalin over finally getting to start. I love these guys and I just hope I can keep contributing. I think 6th and I made a pretty good combo out there and it was great! And talk about someone stepping up. I never seen anybody have a triple-double their first night as a starter! That rocked!

Tonight's game I'm pretty proud of because I got my assists up a bit.

What can I say about Kingsrock? The dude just has it going on. When he's on it just makes our job a lot easier!

And you know? I LIKE having the penguin dude next to me in the locker room. The penguin is something else and he lets me keep my Gatorade on ice!!!

Alright alright alright. Before we get carried away here, I need to lay down a few rules regarding "the penguin". First of all, he is not "the penguin". He will be referred to as Mario Lemieux (who else would you name a penguin after?).
Secondly, there is no ice in his pool, it is simply chilled to a reasonable temperature. You are welcome to keep your gatorade chilled in the ice in his capelin bucket if you feel the need. Beware though, he likes Lemon-Lime. Also, he is very protective of his pool and his bling-bling, so enter the water at your own risk.

"Peter, what are you thoughts on the last few games againt the Clips?"

"First, you will refer to me as "The Peter."

Reporter nods while rolling his eyes..."And your thought, The Peter?"

"Well, The Peter's first game was a bad outing. Yes, even someone as skilled as The Peter can have an off-night. Doesn't matter, though, as the rest of the team picked The Peter up, and we blew em' out! Game two was MUCH more Peter-ific. The Peter dished some, he scored some. the PEter did everything a second string, energy-bringing, sparkplug should do. Plus, I felt I added a bit of contribution to the demolition this time...Overall, The Peter likes what he's doing right now. He's playing good."

Mike (Recent email sent to Miles):

Miles-
Ever since this Mario Lemieux joined our squad your stats have gone up. Now it could be that adrenalin or excitement but lets not kid ourselves ok? We all know the reason you have improved is because of the penguins aura surrounding you on and off the court. Therefor I propose a trade; I get your locker and Mario and you get my locker and Jesus. Think it through. You know where to find me.

Miles:

I think Mario Lemieux and I are going to be good friends. We seem to speak a common language although I'm not sure why, unless it comes from my early years at parochial school. I have a lot of respect for the little guy...

Sorry, dude. Mario Lemieux and I have bonded. We're like soul brothers. I'm keeping my locker spot. Besides, it used to belong to one of my personal heroes - Vlade Divac - and I can't even think about moving.

First of all, I am glad to see the Penguin have a good game...I mean Mario Lemieux (**snicker snicker**).

Hey coach, I meant to tell you that I appreciated getting that start. Yeah! That triple felt real good, man. You know I am always ready to step in whenever and wherever I am needed. Most definitely!!

Thats fine, I understand Miles.
Does anyone know why The Peter is always talking in 3rd person?

Miles:

The Peter has issues. On the court he's fine. Off the court? Well, let's just say he hears voices none of us can hear - and that's without his headphones on.

Ya' know?

;)

Mike:

I think so. Ive never really known anyone so... you know... wiered. I guess that explains the hundreds of pictures of him, by himself covering every open spot in his locker? He does talk to himself a lot but I never have the courage to ask him who hes talking to.
Mind if I tag along with you Miles? You seem to exemplify the characterists of the great King, Vlade Divac and I like it. This Peter figure reminds me of that Kobe kid. Too into himself. :D

Miles:

Hey, don't get me wrong. I like The Peter. He's a great player and we're lucky to have him on our team. He's not like Kobe at all... The Peter is just ... well, The Peter. He's a real team player and all that. We've got a really great team right now. I'm just hoping we can stay healthy.

"Thank you for the kind words Miles. It's always great to hear encouraging words, and maybe that'll up my games or something like that...And The Peter and Kobe compared? The Peter doesn't get innocent coaches fired, nor does The Peter get to make 95 percent of the off-season moves. The Peter leaves that up to who it belongs to, our great and well-respected GM!"

Bball:

Thats........ me!!!

The Peter is no Kobe,. Has he fired a coach? no. Has he chosen to be the only player on his team? No. The Peter is...well.... The ONe and the only Peter.

Commments on last 2 games:

6th had an UN-BE-LEAVE-ABLE game when he first got the start, and...............BAM!!! Triple double!! Nice way to show that you deserved that starting spot!!

Clipper. I knew it was a good idea to put in you in the starting line-up. Almost 2 double doubles in a row!! Just that one rebound, huh?

C-Diddy had a great game coming in a Kings jersey! mario has some skill! Also, you are not offense..... you are offense AND defense? Did you know you are leading the league in skills? Yes, YOU are!!

Everyone is playing well nad doing great!! PLus, I get to hear everyones comments and thoughts and I just LOVE that!! You guys are the best team on the planet and lets go out there and WIN THAT CHAMPIONSHIP!!

GO KINGS!!

Mike:

Sorry Peter if I sounded a little harsh with that comparison but you've never opened up to me in the locker room but hopefully we can build a relationship... even if you are a little cranky you are still one hell of a player.

Coach- When is our next game? I promised it would be my best so Im anxiously waiting which could be bad!

How do you like our bench bball? Quite solid I believe... if someone has a bad game there is always another who had a great game off the bench. This year feels special... doesnt it?

I don't know when I will post the next game, maybe tomorrow, maybe after ttomorrow. but for sure before the end of Thursday.

I think we have the deepest bench in the NBA!!

Thanks bball! I also noticed we are leading the Pacific Division by a mile after seeing LA and Pho in the 7th and 8th spots in the west while we are the 2nd seed.

Whoa, wait just a second. Me and Mario Lemieux are separate beings. It has been said that we have telepathic communication between each other, but that's just heresay. Mario Lemieux is a normal everyday penguin. Looks like a penguin, waddles like a penguin, and shoots jumpers like a penguin. C Diddy is the baller, the man, the myth, the legend. Mario doesn't play basketball, well at least not anymore. He played in Europe a few seasons and bounced between a couple NBDL teams but never made it pro. Some GM's say he could of been an all-star if it wasn't for that career ending beak injury in 2002. Mario and Diddy have been rolling together since college. He majored in computer science and I majored in communications, like every other baller. Mario is my one man entourage. Here's a pic of him from last fall:

"You know how the chisled vetran treats the fresh-faced kid. It's all in routine, buddy! And you know what, in order for the bench to step up, and be even better, The Peter is going to put his foot down. As the floor-general of the bench crew, The Peter says there should be...Bench Bonding Night at Ethel's Bingo and Leisure Lounge! The Peter will rent the building out, my treat! All benchians, be there!"

Sounds and bits after the game....

Reporter: 7 blocks? Wow! Where did that come from?

DM: Don't know buddy, look like B.I.C Got an error. And guess wu (who) caught it?

Reporter: What can we expect in the next game?

DM: Action packed Kings Basketball. The game will be a crowd pleaser as always, and we're gonna give it 110% Jesus is gonna do his thing and perform miracles no doubt. Jesus walks folks!

(pause)

BK, DJ, and Miles are coming up big so mad props to them. They're keepin this show alive. As for the benchers, we gonna bring it up BIG TIME! So look out. The Bench is COMING!

6thman Jackson: Hey, I'm all for a Bench Bonding Night...I mean, nothing wrong with that...but, Ethel's Bingo and Leisure Lounge?.........ain't that a sissy hall? How about some pizza and beer? You all can hang with pizza and beer at my place. We could play a little poker too. I'll just pay someone to come in and clean up after, so we can even be slobs if we want. It's a lot more manly than Ethel's place.

--In a very rare pre-game interview session, The Human Quote Machine, The Peter, gives his thoughts.

"The Peter is playing great. I can feel it, so The PEter is calling it. I'm phyched for tonight! Me and my bench buddies have a rousing night at Ethel's in the very near future, and it would be great to play big before the bonding night...Long story short, The PEter's having a good game."

"6th, you deffinatly don't have to worry. Ethel's Bingo and Leisure Lounge will deffinatly have pizza and beer...And a few other choice beverages. However, Ethel will personally take keys if you sip some booze...The Peter preches responsibility to the nations young!"

"What can bring a group closer together than getting abolutly sma...Ahem, than having a few beverages and playing bingo at a leisure louge...The PEter doesn't think anything. Be ready guys, it's gonna be wild.
