No, he's not for us. But yes, he is like Horry in that he's a perfect championship roleplayer. As has been proven again and again you do not need, nor should you even try, to build a team of a bunch of "good" players. You need to get together a few great ones, and then juat a whole bunch of guys who know their roles and excel at it. And one like Posey who hustles and scraps, plays lockdown defense, and then can pop out to hit dagger threes...that's just invaluable. So many title teams have had that guy. Posey, Horry, Bowen, Harper, Fox, Prince, Cooper etc. etc.

agreed. he's not for us right now. we need a star and then we can put in pieces like posey. but i'd love to have him once we do aquire better talent. posey plays a very inspiring game. refused to allow kobe to hit shots and make it a series. you think you can take me kobe? ok, LETS DANCE

Not only is not that great a fit for where the team is at the moment, but why the heck would he sign with a rebuilding team? He just won his second ring, and I would guess his list of potential teams is pretty short.

haha, he already has. I can name many times where he has made dirty plays, one of witch was against Peja

Already has on a number of occasions, and has even been suspended for it. That's almost a part of that role -- maybe doesn't have to be, but seems to come hand in hand. A lot of those who have played that role for past champions have been cheap as well -- Posey, Bowen, Fox, Horry etc.

Kind of seems like you need one. I'll take Posey out of that list everyday of the week and twice on Sundays.

i just see that in his future.. he already has the shot , hes getting somewhat clutch and his defense is good .. not posey good but hes still young enough.

He's definitely the closest King to being that kind of roleplayer, but his defense -- not just the spectacular blocks and whatnot, but the actual play to play grind -- has to really become more focused before we could even pretend.
