Jackson out for 3 months? Injury update...

Okay, just for the sake of discussion, how does that work? Could we pick him up from the NBDL? If so, would we have to sign him for the remainder of the year?

thats what i'm guessing cuz didn't they do that w/ rodney buford last year? i may be wrong, but that's what i thought

There is a guy capible of givinbg us 20 min per game of 17 points 1.5 steals and 3 rebound, who actualy knows the Kings system already.... Courtny Alexander.

Wow, this is horrible news. I thought we were treading on thin ice as we were. Now it looks like another coulda, woulda and shoulda type seasons. That's a huge loss for this team. I don't see Bobby coming back in 3 months and being close to how he's been playing (if he does come back at that time). And if he does have a torn ligament, he's gonna have to get surgery. There's no way he can have a 2nd option. I think our starters are gonna get worn down unless the bench can somehow come through big time but I don't think that's being too realistic. I don't think we'll find anyone remotely close to filling Bobby's shoes. Oh well, snake bit team I suppose.

He deserves better. Oh well, I guess his Kings contract doesn't look so bad anymore.

Maybe it isn't as bad as the initial prognosis.

awww man this SUCKS!!!!!!!

well i guess martin and evans will be get a good amount of PT soon. i won't be surprised if petrie gets someone else.

GET WELL SOON BOBBY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG, do get well though Bobby!!!

The Kings are in deep shiet now....not totally. Hopefully Evans can take over and provide some spark.

Most of BJax's numbers are down this year. I'm not sure that his abdominal injury completely healed....those things take forever...ask Venus Williams. Anyway, maybe the silver lining is that Bobby might come back for the playoffs rested, all healed up and ready to impress.

Variant, what did you expect to happen that could be worse than this?
1. rnmeuy - Don't ASK questions like that!!

2. Variant - Don't you dare answer! ;) You don't ever want to tempt "worse"...

Thank you.

:D

Well, Arco Arena could have been sucked down into a giant sinkhole or hit by rogue meteor. ;)

Or Bill Walton could have signed on to become the Kings colorman...........no, that one is TOO horrible to contemplate.

I was thinking this too. Wasn't bobby asking the kings not to pick up their option on him for next year? Maybe this will give us some leverage when contract time comes around...

(trying to find the silver lining here, c'mon)

i just hope that he gets better as soon as he can, but if it comes down to it he could just stay out and come back for the playoffs.

I don't know if anyone is listening to Brick, or reading these numbers but guess what?? We're screwed!!! I don't like to be pessemistic but this is a huge deal. This is the 6th man of the year were talking about. He is not replaceable by anyone mentioned so far in this thread. We were so not deep before and now it's gonna be tough. We need those key shots and hustle plays Bobby gives us. I can only hope that Barnes or Evans can learn a lot in a hurry! Still it's not fair to expect them to be like Bobby. This sucks.

yea, it does suck!!! just a question but who are the other 5 men? i'm kinda late on the whole 6th man thingy!!

i agree no one has been bringing that up. we need this guy badly. we cant count on barnes really to pick up where bobby left off. but we need him back for the playoff to make a run. he is a key player off the bench and his numbers do show it. and about his contract i think we need to keep this guy close.

After 3 days of vacation this is what I get to come back to. This truly blows. I hope BJ's gets better soon though. One thing that is great about our team is that guys step up when we have a injuries, let's hope we continue that trend.

yea, your absolutely right. i agree totally. there is NO ONE who can pick up where bobby left off. it was tought with out him last year, and we barely made it. but i'm jsut not sure about this year!! and the whole contract thing, we definitely need to keep him REALLY close!!!!

The other 5 men are the Starters: Bibby, Christie, Stojakovic, Webber and Miller. ;) Bobby is known as the 6th man cause he's usually the 1st person off the bench to play which makes him the 6th man/player.

I'm quite sure that Petrie, if he is going to bring someone new in, wants to bring in a veteran and not someone like Minard who is still green behind the ears, even though Maurice Evans should play a decent amount, I think that Petrie will probably consider bringing in another vet.
