What is the deal with this guy? I was all down with giving him a break during his ups and downs this year. But now its affecting our rebuilding and youth development.
Last night we had a chance to pick up a game on NJ, in a tight race for the 11th spot. But good old Reggie still thinks were gunning for the 8th seed and surprise, surprise... played all the vets and blanked S.Williams, Douby 10m min. and gave Hawes a whopping 9 min's(yes he was hurt but when healthy hes still not gettin enough mins). Sure Moore and Miller had good games but i know what their capable of doing, and at this point and would think we should be trying to figure out Douby, S.Williams and Hawes.
I'm fine with not tanking but ITS NOT TANKING IF YOU GIVE YOUR YOUTH BIG MINS. Its smart. Im so sick of this "in the now thinking". We just got GP to commit to rebuilding. Reggie whats the deal?
I will take this back if playing these old vets helps get them moved/traded this off season. But I don't know how likely that is and it still YOU SHOULD BE PLAYING YOUR YOUTH!
1. Sure Douby has been a bust at the PG spot but lets get him in there more with either Salmons or Garcia handling the ball. Douby has shown to be a good scrappy defender and unlike Steve Kerr he can nail 3's and drive the lane. Douby could end up being just a situation player but lets give this guy some more mins!
2. S.Williams has produced in the little mins hes had. at least it seems that way in the stats. Hes very much a mystery at this point. Hes so hungry for mins (especially after the last year in ATL)that i feel he forces it and isnt playing at a natural level yet.
3. And finally Hawes ! obviously the same goes with Hawes... talk about forcing it and not trusting that he can just let the game come to him. This guy is by far the most promissing of these 3 guys. He could be special and will aparently have to wait tell next year to really grow and play big min's.
REGGIE ! PULL IT TOGETHER !
