Firefly was a great show. Fox should've never cancelled it. Glad it's getting more airtime.
Haven't watched the new Stargates. What's going on? Where's Carter, O'Neal, Hammond and the other Doctor? Didn't Daniel die?

synopsis of last Fridays show from scifi.com:
With the departure of Gen. Jack O'Neill, Stargate Command enters a new era. That said, Stargate Command's new commanding officer, Gen. Hank Landry, and SG-1's new leader, Lt. Col. Cameron Mitchell, barely have time to settle in — let alone inaugurate a new era — before the sudden return of the beautiful thief Vala.
Motivated by her insatiable appetite for ill-gotten gain, Vala has come bearing a stolen tablet that only Dr. Daniel Jackson can decipher. She is convinced that the tablet holds the secret to an incredible buried treasure, while Daniel is convinced that some way, somehow, she's going to make his life miserable. At Mitchell's request, however, he consents to a meeting with her.
Unfortunately, the tablet isn't the only artifact Vala has stolen. She has also brought along some insurance — two ancient Jaffa bracelets that Teal'c explains were once used to bind prisoners to their guards and thus prevent escape. Before Daniel has a chance to argue, Vala clamps one of the bracelets onto his wrist and the other onto her own.
After Dr. Lee tries and fails to remove the shackles, a resigned Daniel complies with Vala's demand and cracks the tablet's code. His translation leads the pair, along with Mitchell and Teal'c, into a deep and ancient cavern under Glastonbury Tor in England. With the treasure just out of reach, they find themselves trapped. Unless they can solve a series of complicated riddles, they will never find the treasure — and, worse, they'll never get out alive.
Carter I believe is currently doing R&D somewhere(Can't recall at the moment) Dr. Frazier died on a mission. Daniel ascended but disobeyed the rules to help SG1 and got kicked out. Hammond was promoted., hence previously O'neal was running the SGC. they didn't really cover why Oneal left the SCG (i think i missed something) T'ealc is trying to consolidate his influence over the new Jaffa nation at their new city. And the Farscape actors are Vala and Mitchell introduced to us last Friday.

Dr. Frazier died? That sucks. Is Carter going to return to the show at some point, or is that just dependent on the actress wanting to? (Amanda Tapping, I think her name is) And will Jack be back permanently? He was on the preview for the next episode, so at least he'll be back a little. I notice they didn't have an intro, probably to avoid having to establish any permanent characters.
Until recently, I didn't have cable at all, so I just watched the syndicated reruns, which means I'm probably 2 seasons behind. Maybe I'll just go check out some Stargate fansite or something to find out.

I like SG1 and 4400. I missed about half the season last year of 4400. and Im 3 years behind on SG!... < sighs >

I ordered the first 2 seasons of SG1 last month. I finally got to see all of the pilot episode!
I odered the complete 1-7 and have the 8th coming in a few days(Ill just sell the first 2) but they wont be here till mid-december. I have to wait that long dmmit!
