It's all Cousins' fault - 2K16-17

Cousins is not a leader and will not win until he plays with a Leader that can help him finally control his terrible habits. He has been told thousands of times to change how he plays defense but does not listen

It's almost sad at this point how delusional some fans are when it comes to Cousins...Anyone who can't see how horrible Cousins' attitude and antics has been this year is in denial.

Many of the fans you are referring to have been critical of Cousins when warranted. However, those same fans don't have an overwhelming agenda against him and can see things for what they are. Those that continue to use Cousins and his behaviour as an excuse for the officials showing bias against him and/or the Kings are the ones that are truly missing the point here.

First of all... I am not a Demarcus Cousins hater. I am a Sacramento Kings Lover...Meaning I root for the Sacramento Kings...I root for Demarcus Cousins because he is on the Sacramento Kings.
I was yelling at the screen just like everyone else when they called the 6th foul on Cousins.
But, I also live in reality - he has been horrible this year and has regressed regarding his antics/attitude and his effort on the defensive end.
I give you the 6th foul vs Miami(a call the league agreed with on the report after the game) and ill show you Cousins getting called for a blocking foul(replay showing him clearly in the restricted area) and then throwing a BitchFit on the floor. - were the refs out to get him on this play? Was it the refs attitude on this play that made Demarcus cry and ***** on the floor like a 5 year old who didn't get what he wants?
Or the refs making the right call on his 6th foul vs the wolves and then Demarcus running up the stands and throwing his mouth piece. Were their antics so bad on this play? Were the refs horrible on this play?
Again, I live in reality....maybe if the referees only called fouls and technicals on Demarcus Cousins - you will have a point.
- So please show me the game where every single foul and technical were called on him and him alone.

Cousins was pulled from the game with over 7 mins left in the 3rd quarter with NO FOULS and did not play the rest of the 3rd cus he was playing so bad defensively.
- As a smart Kings fans I hope Demarcus figures it out before Joeger pulls him from a game and keeps him out the rest of the game. - just imagine the story's that will be brewing then and the leverage/value we will lose if we want to trade him - If/when things have gone south.
Again I'm not a Cousins Hater. I'm a Kings fan that lives in the real world.
The difference between me and the delusional Cousins apologists can prolly be answered with this question I will pose. It's Multiple choice.

Being in foul trouble almost every game. And frankly 95% of the calls are absolutely correct. He doesn't seem to get the whole lead by example thing. Just like Draymond in the playoffs if your fouls and frustration lead to you not being in the floor, then you are hurting your team.

The guy is like the league leader in FTA without getting intentionally hacked (hack-a-jordan) and is always near the top of the list (bleacherreport a year or two ago showed he got the most foul calls compared to minutes played/possessions) and he gets away with more travels off the triple threat than just about any player in the NBA. I'm not seeing the bias against him sure against the Heat he had 2-4 really bad calls in the 4th but they did the same to Hassan earlier in the game.

A good amount of FTA doesn't necessarily mean that there is not bias. It means they were calling fouls when there were fouls being committed ...as they should being referees. DMC has to be the most fouled person in the league that still doesn't get the calls he should on the offensive end. His play style dictates it.

Because I'm not delusional to think a game came down to 1 call. I am aware that it was a series of bad foul calls going against us in the 4th. That last call certainly took a win away assuming we could get stops in the last 30 seconds.
 
Cousins is an Olympian and an All Star. Those are facts folks. If you do not see him as worthy of those achievements it means you consider your opinion as more worthy than the administrators and Coaches of those programs. Think about that. Perhaps it will lead you to reassess your thinking.

As far as arguing what the Referee's call and how Boogie reacts there will always be disagreements just as there are with every Star Player in the Association. The signal to noise ratio is not good in this discussion

I think as this season progresses things will change and the Kings will start winning a few games and climb into the .500 area and then beyond.

Patience is a difficult virtue to practice when it comes to being a Kings Fan. With a new Coaching staff and all the new players we are seeing an unfinished product. Joerger stated just a couple of games ago that only about 1/4 of the Offense had been installed. This is due to focusing on Defense to a large degree which is the correct thing in this case. The offense certainly has not been installed during this flurry of 11 games in 16 days!

Give it some time folks before you storm the new arena with pitchforks and torches.

More silliness.

Cousins this season has shut down LaMarcus Aldridge, Karl Anthony Towns, Paul Milsap and Hassan Whiteside (at least until the refs decided Hassan could take 5 or 6 steps to get a shot off). On a much improved defensive team he's still a -.3.3 On/Off defender (as well as a +21.2 on the offensive side, giving him a Curryesque +24.5 On/Off thus far). His PER sits at 27.6, which would be a career high. And we've hung tough in every game of the season thus far.

Option A remains a childish fantasy, Unless someone wants to sack up and call for a "flexible pieces" trade, any such plan involves years of mandatory losing at an extreme rate while trying to find another kiddie star to replace the one we gave away.

Option B sounds fun, and is likely in the process of happening.

But I choose option C: The Sacramento Kings Winning with Demarcus Cousins' Size 16 Sneaker rammed down the throat of his haters as they gag in frustration.

P.S. yes, both Cuz and Rudy started the 3rd quarter flatter than pancakes on defense and that is almost certainly why Joerger subbed them out, as he should have. its also about Exhibit Only of that happening this year with Cuz.

6 fouls in the 4th Q. Half of those fouls are just completely ignored by some of the forum members here. It's almost like you don't like the Kings, because that alone chaps my behind. It seems like the priority for some is:
1. Hate on Cousins
2. Go Kings?

With every second freethrow he hits he assures that we can set up our defense and prohibit the other team from running in transition. So not only does he shut down LMA, Towns etc. but he makes the team defense much better.

They were no question awful but I think 2-3 of them were make up calls for what they did to Whiteside earlier in the game (when he was guarding Cousins) which seems to also be completely ignored by some on the forum. If we are going to look at travels/fouls than we have to looks at both sides.

If the ref's don't take Whiteside out of the game for the first 3 quarters than maybe we never get close to the Heat for Cousins to make all the plays he did at the end where the refs decided the game.

The loss in no way was Cousins fault he's been excellent for the most part.

Again...choosing Option B or your very own option C is sad....

Option B and C can still happen in option A. (option A isn't Winning without Demarcus Cousins)
Choosing option A is just acknowledging the fact that Winning without Demarcus Cousins is possible.
And you can accept Winning without Demarcus Cousins.
Literally every team in the NBA that has won basketball games has done it without Demarcus Cousins.
Choosing option B or your Option C is like a little kid saying...
"I wanna win with Demarcus Cousins no matter what!"
But....brick, what if we can win without Demarcus?
"Nope. I won't accept it, I wanna win with Demarcus and thats final."

Again I am not a Demarcus Cousins hater,
I hope Demarcus Cousins Has a hall of fame career with multiple championships here in Sac.
But I will criticize his faults, jus like I will boast about his strengths.
And I will be happy if we win with him or without him.
You, only wanting the possibility of winning with him is the "childish" thing here.

P.S. The Minnesota Timberwolves are an example of the possibilities in Option A. Please tell me the Sacramento kings are in a better spot than the Minnesota Timberwolves. And I will tell you who's living in a "fantasy"

Actually, it's the second time (out of only 5 games total).
Demarcus was inarguably worse against Atlanta in the 3rd.
I watched him closely and it was an embarrassment. It was so bad I seriously felt he was trying to throw the game. The very 1st possession of the half is utterly cringeworthy. He lazily doesn't follow Millsap out of the paint 6 ft, then when Millsap gets the pass, DMC hastily throws his body out there, Millsap drives past him for the easy score.
If a rookie did that, you'd be agog with his stupidity.
But when Demarcus does it, you're all "meh."

Seriously, Brick - let's have a real discussion for a second.
I would wager that you and me are two of the biggest Cousins supporters on this board over the years.
However, it seems that I have a limit to my patience about his whinyness that obliterates his reputation, demoralizes his franchise, and does not make him play better.

You apparently don't have any limit to your patience for his antics.
Or do you?

Is there any point at which you would say, "Enough is enough, Cuz! Get your ass up and run down the court and defend! Stop making it all about you and the refs, staring them down and punking them whenever possible! Just shut up, play, and dominate!"
