Keep your heads up and your radios on. Something is rumored to be happening. Nothing of the magnitude of last year at this time, but the Kings are reportedly involved.
 
Let's just say it's fitting and a little ironic it's happening on today, the final day of trading.

rumors on portland radio claimed that brian skinner is going to the blazers in part of the 4 team trade with denver/sea/portland/sac.

Good for Skinner! He deserves a chance and he'll start in Portland.

denver, sea, portland all completed their 3-team trade about a half hour ago...why would they have another just to incorporate brian skinner?

im guessing just a portland and sac trade involving skinner and pryz and probably throw-ins

Potapenko/Monia to Sac

Patterson/Charles Smith/Evans to Denver

Skinner and Lenard to Portland

...from 1080 the FAN in Portland.
 
The rumor is that the Sonics are sending Potapenko and Monia to the Kings and Skinner to the Blazers as part of the Den, Sea, Sac & Por trade.

Why?

Przy is hurt for the season. He's not signed after this year. It could be a big move for them to unload him for a longer term Skinner.

Of course, doesn't Skinner make a butt-load of cash?!

Monia might be a BIG pickup. He's young, young, young ... but was supposed to be a killer over in Russia. Portland picked up Khryapa and Monia ... with Monia supposedly the better player.

Potapenko ... bah ... not bad or good.

For what we're getting out of Skinner this season, the move makes sense.

pryz said he love playing in portland and would resign for lesser money. he said the blazers are like "family" to him.
 
Monia is a rookie swingman that is one of the many Portland has/had. He's from Russia, and from what I've seen of him, he's pretty good.

Guess Potapenko is for salary reasons. At least he's tough banger, but not a shot-blocker. Our only shot-blockers would be Garcia and Sampson now.
