Is there anyone who would still rather have Landry than Martin?

No, Evans pretty much stinks. He's had 1 notable defensive play against Arenas and thats about it. He gets some steals on gambles, but most of the time he loses his man on the weakside and never goes around or fights throught picks. Top it off he's slow to close out on shooters. Let me ask you this. Do you ever recall him taking a charge?
No, which doesn't concern me because I think taking charges is generally high school stuff.
He does very good work with his hands. He has had entire quarters this year where he's been excellent defensively. Its just an energy thing. Not too far off of how it works for a guy like Kobe BTW -- top defender when he wants to be. Coasts most of the time.
And he's had a lot more than 1 notable defensive play. What you meant to sya is he had 1 defensive play so notorious that even you were forced to acknowledge it.

You either did not watch the game or was not paying enough attention. I'm ok with people disagreeing with me, but at least get the facts straight. KMart was guarding Tyreke from the 2:00 minute mark until three minutes left in the first half, when Battier switched to guard Tyreke. KMart was back guarding Tyreke for most of the 3rd. I have the game on Tivo, I can send a DVD copy if you wish.

If you're really that intent on trying to prove that K-Mart isn't a defensive liability, then go ahead.
A survey conducted by the university of my eyes over the past half dozen years seems to be pointing otherwise, so unless I missed a bunch of games where Kevin suddenly managed to shutdown Kobe and LeBron or something, I'm sticking with my opinion.

Now you're just being difficult. A player doesn't have to shutdown Kobe and Lebron in order not to be a liability, not to mention that such a stopper does not exist.
But if you're basing your opinion solely on your eyes, I question how reliable that is when your eyes mistaken Shane Battier for Kevin Martin and vice versa. If you had watched the game on TV, at least you'd have been alerted to that fact when Grant asked Reynolds about the Martin defending Tyreke matchup. Perhaps you watched the game from the top row, upper level; I've been in those seats and I could swear I saw Chris Dudley wearing a Kings uni and hitting a bunch of threes.

The only thing that concerns me is Tyreke isn't nearly as good as Kobe, and his overall play does not warrant him coasting on defense, especially with our team playingl ike this. I do see him have active hands and he has a pretty good knack for slapping balls away, but struggles getting over screens and isn't fast enough to chase quick guys around them. He's got long arms but not much leaping ability so you don't see him block many shots either. I'd definitely take him over Martin though.
Going back to the whole coasting idea ... I find it sad to say that I feel Evans is not a very hard worker. He's smart and learns quickly (somewhat) but in all honesty I don't see him busting his *** out on court, nor do I see much improvement made over the offseason, be it in basketball skills or conditioning. Now this may all be due to injury, but either way the real studs in the league don't get there by working on their shootnig and conditioning with their brothers over the offseason.
