Ironic

That really, the majority of us just wanted Bonzi back, on a decent contract.

And now, since his agent is a maroon...

Bonzi is pretty much going to have to sign for the MLE...or maybe even less, what would have been the perfect contract here.

Funny right...ha...ha...ha *straight face*

*kicks carpet*

i read this expecting to see lyrics to the Alanis Morrisette song...

Glad I was wrong.

on topic- Bonzi should fire his agent. He's got to be telling him he can get the BBB...

what i dont get is, if William Phillips knew GP is going to sign Salmon(im assuming GP told him hes going to sign Salmon if they dont accept the offer), why didnt Phillips told GP that he'll take the offer, cause if the kings sign Salmon, Bonzi have to settle for the MLE. UNLESS theres gonna be S&T.

Petrie didn't tell Phillips he was going to sign Salmons nor would he. At the point Petrie finally realized there wasn't going to be any future to talking to Phillips, I'm pretty sure the discussion ended regardless of what face-saving comments PHillips may be trying to come up with now.

Phillips tried to stare down Geoff Petrie and I think he just realized Petrie's eyes are painted on ... and he didn't blink.

Could well go down as one of the dumbest agent ploys in recent sports history. And it sure isn't going to get Phillips a lot of players rushing to his door for his services.

you mentioning the word maroon reminded me of bugs bunny, when he would call someone an ultra maroon, or how he would mispronounce imbecile, still cracks me up to this day.

I never thought of myself as a wascally wabbit. But thanks, I think.

I predict Bonzi goes to the Knicks. Pacers/Nuggets, maybe, but they have swingmen already there who need time and won't get what they need for 3-4 years.

Possible destinations for Bonzi...

Hornets? They re-signed Rasual Butler, I'd assume for the rest of the MLE that they didn't use on Bobby Jackson. So, he'd have to be S/T'ed there for one or two of their bigs. Which I'm not sure happens at all, but would gladly be into.

Wizards? They used just about all of the MLE on Darius Songaila. So would have to be a S/T involving Haywood or Etan Thomas.

Nuggs? JR Smith would be on the bench for the next 3-4 years, hindering his devleopment, and Bonzi's not a shooter. JR may start complaining and pouting...

Knicks? Could see him signing there. Still got the MLE, and don't have a definite starting wing.

Pacers? They are absolutely loaded at the wings, and unless he signs for a one/two-year deal, all those young swingmen they got will be on the bench or in the NBDL for the next 3-4 years. Granger's development would be hindered either way (not an NBDL canidate obviously).

Bucks? Not sure they want him or what they feel of Simmons, could sign there... other option is a S/T where the Kings get Magloire most likely.

i hope that too, maybe hell have an a-piff-a-me, and then decide he wants to play for cheap and help us win even if its for one year, just to prove he a great guy, that be great wouldnt it. I tcould happen i mean who wants three cities to hate them. Not me.

The Bucks would make some sense. I could see a swap of Bonzi and KT for Simmons and Gadz or Magloire.

The Bucks could use someone else who could score in the post and there have been KT rumors already. Besides they have plenty of shooters with Williams, Bell, and Redd.

Meanwhile, the Kings could use another shooter in Simmons and Gadz can board and block like we need or even Magloire would give us another center. It would overload us at SG/SF; however, it could also be a precursor to another trade.

Forgot about the Rockets as a possbility... they still got their MLE, and I guess they'd go with a small line-up of Alston/Wells/T-Mac/Battier/Yao. I'd definitely be liking them like in 04-05... 05-06 really was horrible for them, and just turned me off on them.

I suspect one of the Wells/TMac/Battier trio would come off the bench, but that would be a real nifty group of 2/3s.

yaya what a good lineup, even though it's been documented many times that yao needs a agressive/defsnive big man playing next to him, not a wee guy like battier or wells. Kings113 you always seem to provide loads of laughter
