Speaking about Summer and the NBA Summer League, we down south have already begun discussing a group going up to Las Vegas for a couple of Kings games in July. From San Diego it's only a 5 hr drive or so. From Sacramento (I drove to Summer League from up north 3 times before moving south) to Las Vegas its about 8 hours.
Typically, the summer league starts in the 2nd or 3rd week of July and runs for 10 days. Every team usually plays about 5 games over a 7 day span with 5 games being played a day. Last year there were 21 of the 30 teams at Summer League. One ticket $20-$25 ticket gets you in for all games in any one day.
Anyway, the SoCal KingsFans.com crew will be researching cheap but fun places to stay and an economical package of transport, hotel, game tickets, local stuff, etc.
