First, I think we use the word "hate" way too often in describing feelings about basketball players. I do not "hate" anyone. Yes, I sometimes get frustrated with Beno, or more specifically, with his play, but not him.
I think Beno has skills to be a true pg. His big failing is his court vision. Too often when he is driving, he is not looking for the open wing player or in other instances not noticing the defense is there to pick off a pass.
But, most of all, I very much dislike his habit of running down the floor whining at a teammate for a turnover. When he passes the ball, if it is not completed; is picked off; or, whatever, he blames the other guy. Granted, sometimes it is the fumble fingers or the failure to go after the ball that causes the turnover that is charged to Beno. Sometimes (just sometimes) it is not really his fault, but he does get the blame. Often times, it is a lousy/lazy pass, where any fan can see an opposing player can step in for the steal. When it happens, he still whines at his teammate as if it is their fault.
Beno never, never takes responsibility for his mistakes. And, to publicly whine at your teammate...almost every single time...is childish at best. It is a lousy way to fit in with a team. That is very frustrating to me since I am a fan of the team...the Sacramento Kings...before I am a fan of any single player.
