They say smoking is bad for your health.... Try being a Cubs fan.

I watched every freaking game this year. 165 games * (approx. 3 hours a game) = 495 hours of my life wasted.

There is no curse. Only overpaid players that don't show up when it matters the most.
 
Cubs fans are a hearty bunch....that's all I've got to say. So much for the all drought World Series...

If the Yankees go down in flames, and somebody beats the Red Sox, I'll call it even....

As a Sox fan I know almost what its like to be a Cubs fan and sympathize, but did you guys really think this was the year? I figured on a closer series but I really think the Rockies are coming out of the NL this year.
 
Hey, they've just been dogging it so they could win it all next year on the 100th anniversary of their last big win!

Which brings this question to my mind. If they don't win it all next year, are we going to be saying: "There is always the next century"?
 
I can read the headlines a year from now:

"Cubs new owner Mark Cuban celebrating his team winning their first World Series in 100 years!"

That headline would make me sick. Why? Because if Mark Cuban buys the Cubs I could not...would not...be a Cubs fan for the 1st time in my life. I just could not do it. So, if my Cubs finally win after they are not longer "my Cubs".........Grrrrrrr!!!

C'est la vie. Sometimes I feel like the only Kings Fan who doesn't have an opinion of Cuban; if he bought the Cubs, and the Cubs went on to win the World Series, that'd suit me just fine...

I think Cuban would be great for baseball, especially if his team turned around and won the World Series.
