Impressed with Peja's overall game

Don't expect Peja to grab 10+ boards too often. I was thinking that once JO comes back, Peja's rebound avg. might actually go down. But the Pacers really got the best shooter in the NBA. He can light it up in heaps when he's hot and his defense, although somewhat soft, is not exactly pourous like Bibby. I will certainly miss him.

I'd be happy with 5 or 6 rebounds a night.

Seems to me that Peja is inside more with the pacers than he was with the Kings. Not sure

Pacers have nevr really had point guards, shooting guards or small forward who rebound well, so our expectations are low

he usually does what his coach tells him. As a Kings - his jub was to stand in the corner

Did Peja ever get 13 rebounds for Sacramento? Does a man have to be traded to understand that Kings' management was not kidding when they told the Kings players before the 2005-2006 season started that they needed to improve their rebounding and defense? If Peja had averaged 8 or 10 rebounds per game this year, he would not have been traded.

Yeah, 13 vs. Clippers (under-manned, but still, he did) on 1/6. Tied his season-high last night. Infact, he was rebounding well through most of January. His average went from 4.5/4.6 to 5+.

He got 14 in 03-04, and 17 in 2000 (career-high).

This trade might be just great for both, Sacramento and the Pacers. I'm having hard time seing Ron being happy in "small town", but I do believe that he is looking for redemption. Chris was totally unhappy at first, then he cried when it was time to leave Sac town. Peja needed a trade, and he will blossom playing with JO, being coached by Carlisle and under the legend Bird. Kings fans never really appreciated what Peja did, don't know why. Everyone, I mean everyone had higher opinions of Peja and his bb skills. If healthy Peja will be an All Star, next year. I'd put money on it anytime. I am more a basketball fan than a Kings fan, and started rooting for the Kings, you know when (JW, DC, PS, CW, VD) and mostly cause of my country men, Peja and Vlade. But not only cause of that, Kings team back than was one of the most entertaining teams ever in basketball. After they traded Vlade and Doug, Chris was tired, Kings basketball sucked in my eyes (including Peja) and I cooled of. Now I'm a Peja fan, and will be looking forward to watching the Pacers, but never, never will love a basketball team as much as I loved the Kings.

Peja, rebounding??? Unbelievable. Guess we'll find out if he just wasn't "into it" here in Sac this season if he keeps putting up those kind of numbers. :)

Peja has always been a decent defender though. Be sure to put him in Dirk when you play the Mavs, he generally gives that guy fits.

Maybe the lcean air and watter agree with Pedja? Or maybe some one gave Pedja some Tom Petty to listen too (Last Dance With Mary Jane) ;)

I'm glad to hear that Peja did well.

This trade could very easily become the one that's talked about for years if everything works out right.

If it helps both players AND both teams it could become the textbook definition of "win-win situation."

And that would really make me very happy.

I wish Peja the very best. As others have said, it seems clear he is happy. I'm very glad if that's true. I'll never forget all the times his shooting took my breath away. I hope he can do the same for Pacer fans.

WTG, Peja! Peja majstore!
