I'm Shocked!!!- The Kings Are Not a Good Team

I am surprised (and saddened) that we have played as poorly as we have so far.

In the pre-season when we brought in Bonzi and SAR I thought that we would easily make the playoffs. (I thought we were lucky to get SAR)

It didnt seem an over-expectation that Peja would have a great start to the campaign. I believed he would hit the threes and be scoring 22+ night in , night out. I thought Bibby would drive the team forward with wave after wave of effective offense and although we might not get as many defensive stops as i would like...that we wouldnt conceed 100+ points every game.

So my expectations proved false. I've been wrong before!

We know there will be changes, and lets hope that they are for the better.

Whatever happens, I will be rooting for the Kings because I LOVE THIS TEAM !! :)

At the beginning of the season, I know it was asked of us Kings Fans to be positive and support our team. I do support this team and the organization. But I am very shocked and very disappointed to see this team perform the way that they are performing. After tonight's game against the Blazers, I am convinced that this team is in for a long season.

You can say that I am giving up. But I dare anybody to come up with one reason why this team will make the playoffs. If this was happening on the road, and the team was playing well at home like most teams do, I would have at least a glimmer of hope. But to come out at Arco and put up a pathetic game like this....!!!! They were never in this game beyond a 12-4 lead in the first quarter.

The Kings are not even entertaining to watch anymore. :( I hope "The Sacramento Kings" show up at some point and turn the season around, because I don't know who this team is.

And your point is???

how about we trade brad miller for ben wallace and trade shareef for rasheed peja for prince and bibby for billups. and we can keep bonzi, i think thats a great idea.;)

Who would score?

Bonzi is no Rip Hamilton. Heheh.

Plus, our bench would still scrub out.

Seriously though, can you see Ben Wallace running the high post? Scurry thoughts.

oh come on dad like u didn't see this coming:(

franchise

Honestly I don't think the Kings know who they are right now. GP's gonna pimp a trade by the deadline I'm sure...it just looks like he better do it sooner than latter if we are going to make playoff run. there's no dominant / Franchise player personality on the squad right now and it shows...bad.

I feel as though I have waited long enough to say this,
the Webber trade was a bum deal.
You can say anything you want but the numbers show the truth.
Webber is still a 20 & 20 guy, sure he no longer is the rim rattling fast break running 6'10 superstar he once was, but the guy has one of the highest basketball IQ's in the game. And not only that Chris Webber was a player who truly cared about his Kings and would do anything to keep them winning. The fact is we will never attain another player like Chris.

Maybe he meant 20/10...or maybe he says webber has good eyesight...but implying 20/20 is bogus..i mean hes no wilt come on now.

I'm sure you meant 20-10.

Kings pre Webb:
386-680 .362
2 playoff series

Kings w/Webb:
334-180 .650
11 playoff appearances (not counting last year)

Kings post Webb:
26-29 .472

Man I am glad we got rid of that bum. Now we can get back to some REAL Kings basketball, old school style.

Yes my fellow Kings fans, in my haste to get that post out my subconscious must have influenced my writing in saying 20 and 20...20 and 10 is what I meant. Last night however was 32 15 and 7, not a bad night. But hey, the Kings managed to pull off and upset. And how strange it is to think that the Kings beating the Clippers would ever be called that!

(didn't even see that stat track KP.)

Philedephia is ranked 13th in PF point production. 21.4 points per game from there Power Forwards(Webber is the biggest reason)......BUT ranked 27th in points against allowing opposing PF's to score 22.4 points per game.

Kings on the other had ranked 12th in PF point production and 13 in points allowed.

Thats why it was a good trade.

Actually Bricklayer, the records pre, during, and post Webber are virtually interchangeable with the Kings record pre, during, and post Bobby Jackson, Vlade, and Christie. But let's just go ahead and keep giving Webber all the credit.
