Don't Make Me Use The Bat
Several people have mentioned it, but thankfully until now I have not had to deal with the silliness of such a thread. 
People need to chill. Things are moving along nicely all of a sudden, doesn't mean we can therefore skip right to the end of the book. With a good offseason maybe we can start to talk about this next season.

You know its a good sign when Brick is willing to admit we might be talking playoffs soon.

I brought it up in the game thread, as a joke of course.
Its still kind of amazing that we are there though. Not because I think we'll be making the playoffs because we wont, but still its something to quantify how much better we have been playing so far this year.

Basically, i would suggest that our next game vs the OKC is going to make or break this thread. Evening up the season series will be like adding 2.2 games to the win column because it adds a loss to their record and a win to ours, and it gives us a chance in the future to actually win the season series, which could be a difference maker, and it is every year to some team. Also streaking to 3 games would help moral. This current 2 -game streak is a faux streak because we played the 2 of the 4 worst teams in the NBA. If we beat OKC, then we can consider this a real win streak, because they will be fighting for a payoff spot

Utah isn't one of the worst team...they're actually one of the playoff team. The best part about the Warriors is that we suppose to be at their level. We didn't win the game, we dominate the game like a top tier team dominate a weak team.
This could be a fluke..but for now, we're tied for the 8th seed.

HUH???? Utah, a team that made it to the Western Conference finals 2 years ago and lost to the eventual champs in the playoffs last year, hasn't changed any personnel yet has gotten off to a slow start (kinda like Cleveland) and they are one of the 2 worst teams in the NBA???? GIMME A BREAK!!!!

such a small sample size so far.
With the level of talent we have (developed, not potential), the league will average itself out. A good season would be that we beat the teams we are better than (not many), .500 w/the teams that are around us, and steal a few (like Jazz) who are obviously better. Catch them on an off day, or maybe one of our guys gets ridiculously hot.
If we do this, I will call it a good season. Either way, don't see playoffs whatsoever, unless 3-4 teams absolutely implode in the west.
Predicted playoff teams:
Lakers
Nuggets
Mavs
Blazers
Spurs
Suns
Rockets
Jazz
By some divine intervention, we may be able to finish higher than the rest, as all of them are either crappy by nature like us, or featuring some sort of chemistry issue (GS/NO), but I seriously doubt we would be able to leapfrog any of the aforementioned teams. The only one even capable of conversation would be the Jazz, but w/Sloan at the helm and Deron beasting early, I see the ship being righted sooner than later. Perhaps once Boozer gets the plank (I hate that guy). Suns are clicking early. Spurs are Spurs. They have no worries until postseason. The Rockets continue last season of having zero stars, but just outplaying you (Adelman really needs to get COY if they finish w/50 wins in their current configuration btw).

I like your enthusiasm and I think Tyreke's a legit ROY candidate but:
Defensive player of the year (steals) 1.6 steals/game 0 blocks and 2.9 defensive rebounds/game
first round playoff team
If none of that atleast another lottery pick.
Which is it? You're predicting either we do well and make the playoffs or we fail again and get a lottery pick. Those are pretty different conclusions.
