Im glad Ron is here, are you?

Are you glad Artest is still a King?

No offense meant whatsoever, but your poll makes no sense. You have three questions, each of which could have their own poll. You don't really have any choices for responses.

I might have added a third option:

Should we have tried to trade Artest but not settled for a mediocre offer

But I don't really want to debate the wording of polls any more today. :D

Ah, and that, dear uolj, would have been another QUESTION with the potential for two (or three) possible responses.

;)

It is pretty simple. Some of you thought petrie should have made a deal, no matter what it was, but he should have made a deal, so that is one option.

The other choice is simple. The only other choice I could have allowed was should we let him walk at the end of the season, but that just seemed foolish as a choice.

Im not really glad he is here, but I'm glad we didn't trade him to Denver. Hopefully he doesn't opt out or we sign him, and maybe work out a better deal.

Add a fourth option: "How are you?"

Oh and make it so you can choose ALL the selections. Those are my favorite kind of polls. :)

It may be foolish to you, but there are a number of people who feel that way.

Your responses are questions (just without the question marks). Look at it this way:

Question 1. Should we have traded Ron Artest no matter what?
A. Yes
B. No

Question 2. Should we re-sign Artest at the end of the season?
A. Yes
B. No

That's what I'm trying to point out.

VF is right. How can your questions be answers?

This poll is actually a good idea and I would like to see the results, if you insist that these are the questions that you want answered, maybe I could make one with different choices.

I don't think that most of us want(ed) either of the choices offered. How about "we should have made some sort of reasonable trade for him," or "I don't mind keeping him, but I don't want him to re-sign"? There is no middle ground at all in those questions, and there is no "none of the above."

As much as I'd like to answer the poll, I simply can't. :rofl

But I can answer your original question, yes I am glad Artest is still here.

And adding more fuel to the fire is the announcement by Artest's agent, Mark Stevens, who says his client will probably NOT opt out of his contract in favor of free agency. (That particular situation is being discussed here: http://www.kingsfans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25751 )

Remember what the Pacer fans said: Don't pay any attention to anything Artest says.

;)

And I believe 49er fans may have said the same thing to ... well, a couple of teams ... about Terrell Owens.

We shouldn't base our views of one of our "own" players on what previous fans of said player think.

Seriously, what has Artest really done since he's been here to warrant so much hate? What happened to not bashing our own players, especially for issues that aren't even happening on the court?

well even with Ron's downsides he still plays his butt off and likes to play and likes his teammates
