I cannot believe that I will actually return to Sacramento in time for the Monarchs season. I am leaving here (IL) on the 15th and hope to arrive (Sac) on about the 18th.

I am arriving without a job (but I pray not for long) so I cannot even entertain the idea of season tickets. I would, however, like to attend opening night. So, if anyone has an extra ticket or hears of someone who cannot go that has a ticket, please let me know.

I'm sure I'll have a ticket here and there that you can use, too. And I'm definitely up for tailgating June 4. I think that's a day game, so we can do a pre-game thing before it gets too hot.

Thanks, HoopMatron. You are very kind. Yes, I'll be back in a little over 2 weeks. I am so excited I can hardly see straight. Now, if I can find even half-way suitable employment, the world will be right side up.

BTW - I expect to be bowling, so when you know of a position available (next fall's leagues), just let me know. :D

Two quick questions...

Is anyone going to the exhibition game against the Chinese National Team on Friday? (we'll need a scouting report)

Does anyone know whether Comcast Sports Net is going to carry all the Monarchs games like they did the Kings?

First answer - I'm headed to the exhibition game next Friday, I'll give you my thoughts (like I'm one to spare folks an opinion ;))

Second answer - it appears they aren't televising all the games, but they are picking up more games than they have in the past. From the sheet I received in my ST package - the total local TV broadcasts are going up from 6 to 9 games this season, with the bulk of them on CSN. I'm pretty sure I counted correctly because that was a question I had, were we going to get more TV games now that they have their own channel. I would have hoped we'd get them all on TV, but I guess they're still trying to get the home arena fuller and the production costs for doing all the away games is still out of the budget right now. But I'm happy as heck that we're getting 9.

Anyone tailgating on Jun 4th??

hoopsfan has secured tickets for the 2 of us for opening day. I remind you, however, that she is a Sparks fan. Since she was born in Southern Cal, and her family still lives there, I can forgive her that. If she gives me a hard time though, I will beat her about the head and shoulders. ;)

So, is anyone planning on tailgating? Hoopmatron, what is the story on this? I will bring an L.A. fan, but I give you permission to treat her accordingly. ;) :p............j/k
