I'd Be A Happy Fan If....

1) They signed Rambis or Porter as coach
2) They found a way to get 2 of the first 8 picks and selected:
a) Horford
b) Brewer
3) They traded Kevin Martin & Ron Artest. Artest has ruined the team.
Martin is a nice scorer, but the ONLY way we could get the draft picks
that would make me happy.
4) They find a hazardous waste dump to take Rahim, Miller, and Thomas.
5) They add pieces to Horford, Brewer, Bibby, Williams, Garcia and Price and
become watchable again.

There is NO way the Kings could trade up for two of the first 8 picks.

I suspect, as nbrans says, if you're basing your happiness upon the completion of your list you might as well stock up on tranquilizers right now.

Don't forget the anti depressants:D

I would be an extremely upset fan if they trade away Martin.

Yea fa real, people talk about trading him to rebuild, news flash people, he is part of the rebuild...hard to understand i know but its true, and yes we need bigs, but if we trade our mid sized guys away to get bigs then people will complain that we need more mid sized guys...keep martin, find a way to still get some bigs, it is possible...Martin is the best thing that has happened to this team in a few years, lets not hit COMPLETE rock bottom by getting rid of him.

well im not happy yet. but i do have much lower expectations. I would be happy if we could walk away from this draft with two bigs. Hawes and J.Smith??? at least that way if one busts we got insurence. or if we got conley and smith??? but seriously i dont care if petrie drafts 2 SF's as long as one turns out to be a superstar. i know we got needs but it doesnt look good if your one of the teams that passed up on Chris Paul or D. Wade. we need a superstar and im not sure if K-mart is going to reach that level(although he could, who knows). but if theres no superstar to be had 2 bigs please.

as far as trades go, i just hope the reason we havent pulled the trigger on anything is that were only going to make smart trades. as long as we make smart trades. i could care less who we get. and maybe the times right to move artest wit the one year left. and maybe teams will forget about bibbys terrible season a little and take a chance on it being muss's or artest's fault.

maybe this is our time to wheel and deal our way back into the NBA !
no matter what happens, this offseason will be huge for our future.

I'd be a happy fan if...

1. The Kings coach brings some excitement to the Kings again.
2. GM takes a gamble at the 10 if logical picks aren't available.
3. Hazardous waste is dumped on KT, turning him into Radioactive Man...
or the Toxic avenger.
4. The team takes some sort of direction within the next week: rebuild or
re-tool. At this point, I just want something to happen to end the
conjectures and hypotheses.

Now there are some dreams I'll drink to!!!

one thing i see in everybodys dream depth chart or whatnot is Ronnie Price. Not only is he a free agent but, all he has shown me is he can dunk. Why does everybody have us re-signing him? just curious I don't mean any harm.

If thats your criteria for being a happy fan I am sorry to break it to you but you will be one very pissed off fan.

Okay....how about Horford and nailing Nick Young at 13ish then?

This is what I think "could" happen..

1) Trade Bibby to the Heat for #20 pick, and a player or two.

2) Trade #10, #20 pick to Minnesota for the #7.

3) Use that #7 pick to draft Noah

4) Trade Artest to Houston for a player or two, and their #26

5) Use the #26 pick to draft Sean Williams.

His off the court troubles is the reason he is ranked so low. This guy is an athletic guy that will play PF. Major shot blocker. If he were to keep his head on straight and respect the coaching staff he could have a future..

I honestly do not think the organization thinks as little of Mike Bibby as some of you. Yes, he was being shopped but there is no way IMHO he gets traded for a low first round pick and some expiring contracts.

please dont put rahim in the waste that is thomas. SAR is making a reasonable amount of money, and on the right team, his post game is pretty complete compared to the rest of the league. while on the downward trend, SAR as a player, and as a contract, does not equal garbage at this point in time.

also remember, we got SAR for like 6 mil cheaper than what other people wanted to sign him for.

i agree. though SAR isnt the best player for the money, i dont see him as total garbage. his contract isnt huge and he can put up good numbers. there are far worse PFs out there with far worse contracts in the league...and "lucky" us (insert sarcasm smiley here) one just so happens to be on our team

1. Cheap ($600Kish if I remember right)
2. Decent, and will improve
3. Fills a needed position, since he's the closest thing we have to a backup PG.
4. Actually tries, which makes him fun to watch

It may be that undersized bench PGs are easier to come by than skinny bench PF/Cs, but, that aside, the arguments in favor of Ronnie are most of the same ones that apply to Justin. He fills a significant need at a very fair price. If we didn't have him, we'd be looking for some other $600K backup PG, and nobody pops to mind as available and markedly superior.

I wasn't meaning #20 and "crap players" I just didn't want to bring the thread into specific player trading like all the other threads turn into. But the Bibby trade I would like #20 being involved. Plus a couple decent players whether from Miami or from a 3rd team.

I think if we play our cards right we could get Noah, and a up and coming SF maybe like Thaddeus Young or something. That would be best case. Have those two come off the bench for a year and learn the system.

Ok, I’m just curious how Artest has "ruined" the team?

On a side note I hope the LA Kings are going to make some moves this off-season. I’m sick of not making the playoffs. Frolov, Camm, Brown and Kopitar are keepers. And to add salt to the wound the frieken Ducks won the cup. This has not been a good year for sports.

it's possible noah slips to #10. i'd be happy with that.

Ok, I’m just curious how Artest has "ruined" the team?

He brought selfishness to the team. He played hard defense his first season, but became increasingly obsessed with taking games into his hands when nobody else wanted him to. His mind calculates very little, but he was very aware of how many points he'd scored every night.

He brought a sense of classless behavior to the organization whether beating his wife, under-feeding his dog, or wearing a suckie mohawk.

He undermined coaches, by refusing to leave games and refusing to run called plays. He professed commitment to his coach, but fell deaf when coached.

He made nobody on the team better. He brought muscle inside when he wanted and a good left hand drive around the basket but passed only when forced to.

His role model to Garcia and Martin is less than a help to the franchise.

Bad for the team IMO.
