ICE officer shot in Roseville

The suspect is Sammy Duran. The shooting allegedly took place during a gang sweep by ICE and RPD.

I talked to my father earlier who was debriefed and told me the officer lost his life. Is that confirmed he survived?

Four law enforcement officers were wounded in a sporadic gunbattle that lasted late into the night Friday in southwest Roseville after a failed afternoon attempt to take Duran, a wanted parolee, into custody. Roseville officers teamed with a federal agent on the initial action.

None of the injuries to officers appear to be life-threatening, authorities said. Roseville city officials said Duran is a wanted parolee who has lived in Roseville for some time and with whom police have had previous contact.

The ICE agent was in stable condition after being shot in the leg.

"He's stable, he's alert, he's sitting up, he's going to be all right. That's fortunate," Kice said Friday afternoon.
