I think I'm in love with Kayte Christensen...

Then you will be simpatico with many around here, as this site launched a bring Back Kayte Christensen facebook page when we finally got the ownership change and it looked like maybe there was a chance.

Note in my opinion she is an even better basketball analyst than beauty, and her continuing to be shunted off to sideline work as we cycle through jocks of the week to mumble out words has never failed to pee me off. There are actual arguments why women won't play int he NBA, much weaker arguments why they have been slow to emerge as coaches or refs, no arguments at all why there shouldn't be more female broadcast voices.

You go through an open door with me, Bricklayer. She's absolutely punctual and competent with his comments and that's what makes her valuable, whereas you see some of her pairs who's got a job because of their looks or past, regardless of their today's actual competence and knowledge of the game.

Yeah me too - she is such a knockout!

One of the things I respect most about Carmichael Dave is that he's not intimidated by Kayte Christensen. She's a freaking amazon goddess, smart too... and he's had her over to his pool!

You go Dave!

Her appearance means nothing -- she's a great basketball commentator. I'm glad they brought her back...I just wish they would expand her role, honestly.

The day that Kayte replaces Jerry Reynolds in the booth can't come soon enough. Hell, it's years overdue, already.
I was happy to see that Vivek & co kept Jerry and Grant. I'm not under any illusion that they are a great broadcasting tandem and honestly I wasn't sure Napear deserved to stay after backing the Maloofs for so long and shutting down criticism of them while they were actively trying to move the team, but I felt the bigger issue was keeping some continuity. I'm not really a fan of Grant's show but I think he's a decent PBP guy and Jerry has been such a big part of the Sacramento Kings in several roles that I felt he should be allowed to walk away on his terms.

That said, if Jerry retires, I hope Kayte takes his place. Her knowledge of the game is fantastic, she makes the effort to be current about players and teams around the league (and it's sad how many color guy, especially former players, aren't) and her analysis is spot on. I love Doug and think he's been great to hear, but I'd take Kayte over him without hesitation.

Agreed with all of it but would take either Doug or Kayte in Jerry's place....leaning to Doug. It would be refreshing to get real insight into the game.

What if his terms involve holding onto the job until he drops dead on live television?

Kayte is exceptional! My only concern is larger and better paying Networks have also taken notice (can easily envision her with ESPN, NBA, or God forbid, Dancing With The Stars ). I hope the Kings have the foresight to sign her to a long term deal of some kind. As much as I would like her to succeed, it would be a shame to lose her!

I have also enjoyed Doug with his expanding role and hope that also continues.

Kayte is national television ma
I really like Kayte. However, it seems like she does get a bit stuttery when speaking on tv. Might be a nerve thing
It seems like she tries to squeeze a lot of info within the time-out window.. :) so, her speech does sound funny at times...

I love Kayte not just for her knowledge, but her basketball philosophy is all good to hear as well. If it came down to a choice between her and Doug, I'd choose Doug since he was on our glory years team. That being said: why choose between the two? Let's get Kayte and Doug on there. Let Grant do radio once G-man retires.

Stand in line. But Kayte knows her BB and conducts great interviews and is a good on-air presence. A welcome addition to the Kings.
