I love the attitude of this team...

G-League
You could tell in all three games, this team is excited to play and compete. Especially the bench - jumping around, smiling, and cheering on the team.

I thought a picture on the flight back from Cleveland kinda sums it up...

I dunno man. Check Donte Greene. The large headphones that he wears obstruct his sense of hearing, thus his connection with the outer world, and alienate him from his teammates. Consider his peace sign. Is he advocating peace as in harmony between two or more entities, or is he in fact saying good-bye? Notice also his position in the photo; he is to the left. Left--the past participle of to leave. Imagine a time line super imposed on the image. As with any time line, imagine the past to the left, and the future to the right. Donte's direct competition for the small forward position is pictured here to the right, indicating that he (Casspi) will succeed Donte. As time here is a linear structure (hence "time line"), we have sufficient information to infer that not only will Casspi succeed him, but that he will replace him, further implicating Donte's departure.

I think it was just Paul Westphal making Donte and Casspi play rock-paper-scissors for the starting spot against the Raptors..

Couldn't agree more!

Back in the day, the chemistry among the players was almost tangible, even through the TV screen. And being in Arco was like nothing else you could ever imagine or describe. I honestly think tonight is going to be like those days. The forecast for tonight? ARCO THUNDER in the Natomas area starting at around 7 p.m. It will be felt throughout the Kingdom!!!

GO KINGS!!!

Speaking of "attitude", Chad Ford reported today that there are rumblings from the Kings locker room concerning Cousins. Here's the quote:

Those concerns, according to sources, are already being borne out in Sacramento. While Cousins has played very well in the summer league, preseason and in the Kings' first three regular-season games, there are concerns.

Sources close to the Kings tell me that Cousins has earned his reputation for being difficult. Several players on the team have complained privately about his attitude and he's already butted heads with assistant coaches in practice.

Have you guys heard anyone else say anything like this? Or is Ford just blowing a little smoke? I was (and still am) convinced that Sacramento was the perfect fit for Cousins, both in regards to management and the community. I'm really hoping that this bullsh*t doesn't have legs or that it's just typical rookie adjustment.

Ah, vague cites of "sources close to the Kings"... I wouldn't be too worried.

Should we assume those "sources" are in Los Angeles? ;)

Either that, or they're voices in Chad Ford's head...

I mean, he says this... "While Cousins has played very well in the summer league, preseason and in the Kings' first three regular-season games..." and then refers to some random concerns? I've watched the team and the bench these first three games, and what I've seen is an incredible group of young men who are very excited to be playing the game of basketball. As far as the reports of Cousins being difficult, I think they were overblown to begin with but luckily so, since he wouldn't have been available to us if those rumors hadn't been around.

Oh wait... Hrm? Perhaps it was all a Jedi mind trick done by Petrie to make sure we got the player we wanted/needed?

:)

It may not mean much to anyone else but i wish Cousins would give the high fives whenever his teammates shoots freethrows. It kind of like a tradition to give your players high fives. It looks sort of weird to see something like tyreke making a freethrow or missing, then leaning forward only to see cousins not reach out his hand. But like i said it may not mean much, but i think it might have a psychological effect among his teammates, something like not participating or being mentally isolated from the team.

Or you could just look at the picture and say "Hey, those guys are having fun! They sure like to hang with each other".

Well crafted argument...Sounds like it came directly from the History of Art department. Some people make a living this way...

The fact that Greene was right in the middle of the Kings bench jumping up-n-down and cheering after every made basket tells me all I need to know.

Chad Ford is a loser.

I agree with this. Ford is a total loser. He just makes sheet up to fill in the spaces where he should be writing things to actually report. He is further away from the Kings than anyone yet he seems to have his finger on the pulse of the team....Really? To quote a famous football slogan... COME ON MAN!!

Beno looks genuinely happy. Cousins looks tired and happy. Green and JT look happy! They all look genuinely happy. And as a fan I am happy with a 2-1 record that easily could have been 3-0 !! On the road to start the season AGAIN, these Kings look like they are having fun and kickin arse! I am hoping some home cookin and the ARCO thunder will really bring excitement and energy to the team! GO KINGS !!

True or not, I simply cannot trust anything that comes out of that guys mouth. His ego was crushed when JR said he was just "a tool for agents" a few years ago. He has no tangible 'insider information'. Teams tell him what they want him to report, or he just makes stuff up.

Truth be told, I still read everything he writes. Everything everyone on ESPN writes for that matter. Gotta make that insider subscription worth it.

Like I said though, he really isnt a credible source. He lives in Hawaii and stays "inside" the game by blackberry and league pass. Not much more insightful than many fans right here.

Bravo on the literary effort in this post.

Carly Landry was on The Rise Guys show today and he was asked about these alleged issues between Cousins and his teammates/coaches. He pretty much said there's nothing to it and that Cousins is just a competitor, even in practice.

;);) VERY amusing! Will be checking at mid-season to see if this complex theory holds true!;)

I love the chemistry with these guys as well. I love the way that they cheer for, support and listen one another…you not only see it, you can feel it.

I just can’t wait to see the chemistry completely come together on the court. I sometimes see glimpses of good passing but I’m really excited to see when this team finally comes together.
