I have this feeling that............

G-League
...........we will not end up with the worst record in the league and that we will lose our chance of getting the best draft odds. Does anyone else here have that feeling?

New Orleans - Win!! Vlade night.

at Golden State Loss!!

at Phoenix Loss!! They're pissed.

Golden State Win!! Home

LA Lakers Win!! Worn out Lakers. Bryant hurting. We did it already once this year!

I could list the rest of the schedule but i think you get the idea. Plus one word says it all.....CLIPPERS! They'll "clip" themselves to the worst record. I hope i'm totally wrong on all this. Tell me i'm wrong please!:eek:

Um, we have a thread with the rest of the schedule listed for the teams contains for the bottom spot, including the Kings and we have literally dozens of threads talking about draft. They're in the Personnel Moves section. For that reason, I'm moving this there.

Short answer is yes, and its making me grumpy. This crew are so clueless I don't even think they can lose right, and wiht teams shutting down guys and losing guys left and right, we just simply refuse to have the helpful injury or "rest" give us any aid. I'm still ok with not getting the top pick, but I am deathly afraid of the consequences of slipping out of the top 3 or 4 in this draft.

Honestly, falling out of the top 2 would pee me off greatly, but I know that's a possibility regardless of our record. I just hate the idea that we might not do everything in our control to help our chances in this draft.

First or second draft pick are really the only positions I want. First would be the best. Of course, if we are #30 we still could end up picking 4th, which would be a terrible outcome. Like Nash, I was really upset we beat Phoenix. :(

It really is mind boggling that we could beat a team playing for their playoff lives and nothing to gain from losing... but hey.

I share your worry, although not specifically about the Clippers. Washington has yet to say that they're going to play Arenas during any road games, and their home schedule is tough enough that I don't expect more than 1 win there. (I suspect that Arenas' playing at home is an attempt to boost ticket sales while making the NBA think that they aren't tanking, without any real risk of winning more than 1 game.) And they're talking like they'll keep Haywood out for the rest of the season, even though he's recovered now. Memphis and the Clippers may tank too, but Washington has a 1-woss lead on them.

And here we are playing BJax, who really IS injured.

It's our lead to blow, and I think we probably will blow it. I want a top-2 pick (or top-3 if Rubio enters), but that takes a combination of smarts and luck. Time will tell whether we have either.

If not the 1st pick, I hope we'll at least get the 2nd pick. 2nd pick means Rubio assumig he does declare

1st pick = Griffin (consensus number 1 pick)
2nd pick = Rubio (assuming he declares)

If we can't get either Rubio or Griffin out of this draft, I would be highly disappointed.

:D:D I'm sorry Bricky. I know you didn't mean it this way, but for some reason when I read your post, I pictured you as a basketball coach giving your team last minute instructions. Pointer in hand at the blackboard that has bold letters at the top saying, " The proper way to lose a basketball game"

It is driving me crazy analyzing the remaining schedule after every game. I don't see this team winning more than 2 more games. Are they capable of more? Yes. But I haven't seen this team put together 2 or 3 good games in a row since november. This team so far seems incapable of building any momentum at all.

We, as fans, have no control over it. We can only hope for the best, which would be the worst record. We always get a little nervous after a victory because there is the threat of this team running off 2 or 3 victories. But each time, with out failure, they go back to their losing ways.

I want to say : "I don't know why we don't just sit players like other teams vying for the lottery have been doing". But I don't think that will even help. In fact it throws in an element of surprise, maybe enough to create some confusion on the opponents part, allowing us to go on a clobbering spree.

...Hold me.

We cannot influence the outcome of any of these games. As such, I find it fruitless do worry. But that's just my take on things.

I'd rather finish with the 2nd worst record, so it's all the more sweet when C-Webb brings home the top pick on lotto night.

The thing I don't understand is why do we still have players playing hurt out there? An example would be when Garcia hurted his finger he was clearly in pain, yet he still plays. Another one is Bobby Jackson with the broke cheek bone, yet he still plays. I could understand if we were in the playoffs and they played hurt, but these games are meaningless. Also you could risk further injury playing hurt.

Have I emntioned recently we are idiots? ;)

Some of it is the players themselves -- Cisco, Noc and Bobby might be the three hardest nosed players we have. But the players don't run the ship.

That's OK. Natt is a hard head too. And, he's going to small ball us right into last place.
