How I'd like it to go...

MANoICE

G-League
I would like the lottery to go in this order:

1. Sac
2. OKC
3. NJN

It would have to be one of those announced deals that didn't happen "officially" until after July 1. But, then we could trade Cisco and the #1 pick to OKC for Green, Weaver and #'s 2 & 25 picks. It gives us a little more cap space (which OKC will have plenty of) and a good young core that can run, run, run. Green and Noch bring versatility being able to play 3 or 4 (in small lineups.) Weaver can also handle the ball some (ala Cisco.) Also, there will be seveal misc. Contracts to package up and score a Vet or an expiring contract.

Looking at
Rubio
Martin
Green
Thompson
Hawes

With, Noch, KT, D. Greene, Beno, Weaver and 3 late draft picks; off the bench.

As for NJ, I think if they got Hill, they could make some serious noise.

This was a reply to a question

I did not mean for it to be it's own thread. I am not sure how this happend as I used the "post Reply" button. My Aplogies.:(

I moved it into its own thread. The thread you put it in was the lotto countdown.

:)

I don't think OKC would essentially give up Rubio, Green, Weaver, and another 1st rounder for Griffin and Cisco. Sure, they'd like to get Blake, but I don't think they're gonna give up that much.

If OKC number 2 or 3, then I bet they go with Thabeet. They went after Chandler at the deadline, so Thabeet to the Thunder wouldn't surprise me

My hope:

1) Sac
2) OKC
3) Washington

We can evaluate Rubio and Griffin in workouts and either trade down and get an extra late 1st from OKC by getting Rubio or take Griffin

At #3, we have a unique and good chance to pry the pick from Washington with some combo of cap space, taking on a poor player for Nocioni, and one of the late 1sts

They're not going to pass on Rubio, they might not keep him, but they would sure as hell draft him.

The suspense is KILLING me! And I have to meet a recruiter @ 4:30 and probalby will miss the LOTTO live! Thank God for TIVO. We deserve #1!!!!

Also, all this trade talk can wait til tomorrow. Let's get #1 first.

Actually, if the Thunder got Rubio, they could theoretically play Westbrook and him together. Rubio is more of a pure PG. Rubio is also big enough to guard some SGs and Westbrook is a terrific defender. It may not work out long term, but at this point in their development, it would be a very interesting experiment. Although, there may be too little shooting on the court, since both Westbrook and Rubio need to improve their jumpers significantly.

That's true, though they wouldn't have much shooting in the backcourt. The Thunder to me, its almost unfair, because they already have a stellar young roster, and any one of Griffin, Rubio, Thabeet or Harden would be a great fit with them.

Yeah, Presti has done a great job and they have also had lady luck on their side getting Durant when they were I believe the 5th worst team. But even if they just add Thabeet or Harden this year along with a late first rounder, they are going to be much better next season. I think they'll fall just short of the playoffs next year and be like the Blazers were this year two years from now. Barring Durant bolting for a bigger market, I imagine that Sonics-Blazers will be the next great rivalry in 3-4 years. Or maybe not next, I could see Lakers-Blazers being a good one until the Sonics are ready and the Lakers start fading.
