Kings are 12-21 in home vs road games so the rest of the season they will be 21-12. What's more important there will be a very long home stretch of two and a half weeks which means a lot of practices tucked in. Kings will end the season strong and will have a winning record from this point on and that's with a disbalanced team without a bench.

Depends if we pull off a trade or 2 that gets us better. We should see a slight improvement in our play just by sheer amount of games we will play at home but we are a significant way away from being a team that will go above .500 in the second half of the season.

Breaking this into Easy games (sub .500 at home) medium games (over .500 at home, sub .500 on road) and Hard games (+.500 on road)

Easy: UTH 2/28, NOH 3/07, GSW 3/13, DET 3/14, MIN 3/18. UTH 3/22. NJN 3/31, MIN 4/2, PHX 4/3, HOU 4/08
Medium: LAC 3/01, PHX 3/04, DAL 3/09, ATL 3/11, BOS 3/16, MEM 3/20, GSW 3/24, HOU 3/26, SAN 3/28, UTH 3/30, LAC 4/5, NOH 4/11. POR 4/15, SAN 4/18, OKC 4/20, CHA 4/22. LAL 4/26
Hard: LAL 3/02, DEN 3/05, LAC 4/07, DAL 4/10, OKC 4/13. OKC 4/24

It will be more of the same for the Kings in the second half. I'm predicting their final record to be something like 25-41. I think next season with more experience, summer league, a complete pre-season and perhaps a trade or two, the team really improves and gets in the playoffs. Go Kings!!

Deja vu.

looking at the schedule, i think we will be below .500 but not much. i'm thinking we beat the sub .500 teams and a couple upsets and will be content with winning about 14-16 games.

We only need 8 wins to have a higher winning percentage than last year. Barring a major injury, that seems likely. On the upswing!

Some of you are way too optimistic. This is a squad who just recently blew games late against the Pistons and Cavs. This fact alone should temper some of your enthusiasm. Kings have a long, long way to go (AKA many years) before they reach respectable. Keith Smart has done great things with Cousins, but where is the upside outside of the Big Cuz? Tyreke is showing questionable consistency, and really hasn't improved since his freshman year. Maybe Smart will be able to focus on him and mature his game soon enough.

Smart isn't the greatest coach, but he is the coach we need at the moment. The guy who will build the chemistry and teach the players. He will have many frustrating tendencies when coaching games that won't lead to good results all the time (his questionable substitution patterns), but it is his work in practice that will make our players better.
