How can you not be happy?

If we go back 12-24 months I think most people were hoping we would clean house and start the rebuilding process. Fast forward and bam, we are at that point. Not only are we at that point, we have 2 and possibly 4 young players that I am pretty excited about.

I am very happy with Hawes and Thompson.

I am curious/encouraged by B Brown and Donte Greene.

We had 2 rookies and 1 first year player get significant minutes last night and they won the game. At this point in the season I really could not be happier.

Now dont get me wrong, I am extremely frustrated with what looks like effort in some games, but I have no answers for that. Isnt that to be expected when you have so many young players?

That aside, wouldnt you agree that the team has played pretty well or at least above expectations? Sure they lost to Phoenix and San Antonio by 2 points each, but if someone told you that would happen prior to the start of the season, wouldnt have you have said you would take it?

I think we are RIGHT WHERE WE SHOULD BE! And at the minimum, I am very interested in this team to see how much better they can be in the next 2 seasons.

we are nowhere near in terms of cleaning the house and we should have been at this point 3 years ago. Everything else looks good.

Still some mediocre veterans hanging around (Mikki), but I really like the talent we have accumulated so far. So far, our super young players have really impressed. Thompson and Hawes look like starters for the future, and Greene's potential is tantalizing. Meanwhile, some of the older young players are starting to produce. Beno is getting into a nice rhythm (still needs to take better care of hte ball), Martin was rounding into shape before he got hurt, and I'd like to see what Garcia can do.

Overall, just a lot of brewing talent here.

I'm very happy about the 4 young players we have. And yes, we DO need to dump some vets.

Let's get rid of Mikki Moore, Brad Miller, and possibly Beno Udrih, if he's included in a nice little package deal. Leave Bobby Jackson alone, and for Mikki, Brad, and Beno, get a couple more young talents. Preferrably young enough to not be able to legally buy beer.

This team is very much on the right track for some serious future damage.

Actually, I am one of those who believe that we have the core players to form a playoff team ( or even an elite team ). I have to admit though, that I am quite frustrated it will take time to develop them into one efficient group. This is especially true that we keep on using the old conventional way of slowly developing the young players.

But lately, I think coach Theus is hearing what I want - accelerated development of Hawes, Thompson, Greene, and BBrown.

Start Hawes and Thompson and give significant minutes to Greene and BBrown and I will be contented.

I am happy that the Kings are fun to watch again. While I cheer for them to win, just getting to watch the exciting youth we now have, is a blast. If, on the other hand, they play hard, with enthusiasm, energy, and excitement, but they still lose, I don't get upset a bit. I now watch them solely for the entertainment factor. Winning and losing does not affect the value of my fun. Dang! It is sooooo much less stressful. :D

Couldn't agree more. It's so much more fun rooting for young guys that are hungry and you know they will continue to get better and better. It's just those occassional awful games like Memphis the other night that get me depressed. I went to the Suns game last week and even though it was somewhat of a heartbreaking loss, I walked out of there feeling good that they made 2 different comebacks in that game and ended up very close to winning the game. That showed me that they have some heart even though they had every excuse that game to just let the Suns run away with it.
