hoopsworld concensus draft 4.0

I don't put much stock in mock drafts, but I do find it interesting that none of the guys picked rubio to go to OK. Also, jennings' stock seems to be dropping a bit after a number of pg's has a good showing at the combine. I think he is still a top 10 pick, but I think the kings could trade down and get him later, if they don't get what they want at the 4.

Interesting that in the comments section, it claims the Kings would pass on Thabeet if he was available (according to sources). Granted, its hoopsworld but still concerning.

Yeah, I noticed that too.

Then I remembered it was hoopsworld and that their sources were probably espn messageboards.

Especially with that #5 potentially available via trade that would be...well typical of the philsophy that has landed us with the worst record in the league sporting the worst defense in the league.

Well, other than the source, let's remember what the rumor actually says. It claims that 9 teams may pass on Thabeet. That other teams including OKC who could really use a player like him all don't want him. I think the bigger theme of that rumor is that most teams seem to believe that Thabeet is one dimensional and soft, not that the Kings are trying to avoid defense.

I think it more likely that the bigger theme of that rumor is that as is typical of hoopsworld its made up out of whole cloth and expresses nothing more than its author's prejudices.

Also ignoriing BTW that New York had said Thabeet is the only guy they would trade up for -- and this author has them passing on him even if he falls to them. And has Minnesota with its "stacked frontcourt " doing so as well.
