Hilton a problem?

Im not jumping to any conclusions and im not sure how reliable this source is but I was looking on the hornets forum to see what they thought about the trade and this was just one of the problems New Orleans fans had with Armstrong. I'm all for armmstrong but I don't want a goof off ruining our team chemistry. Im not trying to start a big thread on talking bad about the guy because I believe he has a fresh start with us, but just to see what everyone thinks.

I'm pretty sure that a goof will do less to hurt team chemistry than say and standoffish jackass. Considering how jovial Donte and Jt and Reke tend to be, I really don't see how this will hurt the team too much.

No idea what he is like personalitywise, other than the suspicion that he's not exactly a gunho run through walls to be great type. But come on, Hilton Armstrong can hardly ruin our chemistry. He's just not significant enough. And if he turned out to be so horrendous that he actually could, we'd just banish him.

wouldn't worry about that 1 bit... I was at the game in question. (wizards this past Saturday) section 119 behind the hornets bench.

Hilton wasn't even dressed out for the game... but he and Julian Wright, Sean Marks, David West, Moe Pete, and Thorton were taking turns making annoying noises as the opponents shot free throws.

A wizard player missed a freethrow after Hiltons heckle and the rest of the hornets were laughing and high-fiving. Hardly a chemistry killer.

I don't plan on losing any sleep over what some Hornets fans have to say about our newest King. A lot of times, these things get blown way out of proportion. As usual, I think Kings fans will judge him - and rightly so - by what he does here.

:)

He did wahtever it takes to stop the other team from scoring...at least now I know he can play defense, even when sitting on the bench. ;)

In baseball, chatter is considered a sign of team spirit! ;)

Heyshootershootershooter.......SHOOT!

Goof off? You mean kind of like that fake infomercial of some of our kings players singing... I think he will fit right in!

Some players just need a change of scenery to help their careers.

Let's hope Hilton is one of those players. He can play defense. Now let's

see if he can do it for the Kings.:)

He's not a problem starter. He is just a light-hearted guy, who hasn't let his status as an NBA star, change who he is as a person. I like him...but I like all UCONN players. SAC just got a truly high character guy.
What? You must be joking.
If he truly is a high character guy, than devoting time to improve his game shouldn't be a problem right? If you're a high character guy, then you must take your profession seriously, and have respect for teammates, coaches, and the organization, as well as the game of basketball. I high character guy will have respect for the contract he signed, and work his *** off to prove he's worth it. If he's just sitting on his ***, collecting a paycheck, and not improving, what the hell kind of character is that?

I'm all for giving Hilton a chance, but he has a lot of work to do before becoming even an average nba big that can conribute coming off the bench.

Sooooo... I guess you like him, Right? :p
I wanted to. I looked for anything positive in his game. I really hoped the young crop would have developed. They drafted a few bigs to help bolster their frontline with Simmons, Armstrong, and Bass. They had Birdman, but his drug suspension killed his time there. Bass was the best of the lot, but he was on Scott's S-list. So, Hilton got the most playing time out of the others combined. Hornets needed bigs, and I really, really hoped he would turn out, just like kings fans want Justin and Hawes to improve. I didn't want him to fail, but he did. He never improved his game or body, and still has the same weaknesses as day 1.

Well, he sure hasn't shown that he's a good defender since college.

Don't agree with you much but I will here.. He came out of college as being a defensive player along side of Boone (actually was the better rated defender). Since being in the NBA he has done exactly what I thought he would do which is nothing.

I wonder how often these kids that grow up with below average or average income then make it to draft day and get there first contract of 3 years that adds up to close to 10 million dollars. If they see that and its more than anybody in their family has ever heard of if they treat it as the lottery and are just satisfied with that first paycheck then just hang around and just maybe they get a second contract or an extension of the first for another year or 2 and are just happy with that?
