It was just easier to make a new thread than edit the choices in the old one.

It's still a bit off here.

Here are the match-ups

(V) Bricklayer vs (H) Venom_7

(V) Venom_7 vs (H) GoGoGadget

Therefore the options are

Bricklayer and Venom_7's Villains
Bricklayer and GoGoGadget
Venom_7's Heroes and Venom_7's Villains
Venom_7's Heroes and GoGoGadget

If a mod would be so kind as to help us fix this thread I would appreciate it. Thanx:).

Um, that is what I have, except the order is backwards on the 3rd option (I have the villians first); however, since the order doesn't matter, I am going to leave it as is.

Spock is merely an adviser. Have you seen what Jean Gray does to islands she doesn't like?

The only thing is Mini-Me is so small she might forget to tear him to shreds.
Which means you have one dude left, Brickie. :p

I've seen what Jean Grey does to guys she DOES like -- that leaves me with one more than you methinks. ;)

These are two great first round bouts. Venom's villains versus Gadgets Heroes is mostly a battle royal between a collection of anti-heroes. That's quite a brooding match-up we've got there.

Brick and Venom's Heroes are both nice mixes with uber-powered stars and vital role players, but I think after the T-X takes out Matt Parkman, Jean Grey loses it and that's just too much for the other four on Venom's roster to overcome.

T-X vs. Iron Man. That would be epic.

However, I refuse to lose to any roster with mini-me on it.

and as far as my villains being a mere collection... I wish people would read both write-ups. I hate admitting it, but I put a lot of time into the villain one.

Lowenherz does make a good point, I don't think Parkmans mind control stuff can work on machines. It's just never been tested.

In both instances, I drafted according to who I thought would work well on a team, rather than just a collection of characters I liked.

As far as GGG goes, Sylar could take out everybody on her roster by himself, while the rest of my villains napped.

I voted for your villains crew specifically because I think they make a good team together. The use of the word "collection" was meant to refer to the fact that there are essentially a dozen "anti-heroes" from varyingly different sources between the two rosters, not because I thought either of you didn't put any thought into building a cohesive unit.

And believe it, Mini-me is going to be giggling manically when you fall to his crew :)

I will say you ruined the integrity of my hero squad when you picked Samus. I had to take Snake instead, but it would look a little different if I had Jean Gray wrecking shop with Samus AND Iron man protecting parkman and Spock from harm.

Admittedly, I don't know much about Sylar as I'm not a "Heroes" watcher, but I find it hard to believe that he could do whatever it is he does while being brutally ripped apart by Kratos' chain blades.

As much as I love Kratos...he could. Sylar has telekinesis and regeneration, just to name a couple of his abilities

Yeah, Snake I saw more as an offensive strike option than bodyguard.

So you're saying Samus is my MVP because she not only strengthened my team but ruined yours :)

I'd like to see him try to regenerate when all the Sylar pieces that Kratos is ripping apart are spread throughout the island by the powerful winds created by Mothra's flapping wings.

I've yet to find a single super hero or super villain whose magical powers weren't dependent on a certain amount of concentration and time, which will always put them at a disadvantage versus those who just jump in and start kicking ***.

Are you in law school? Because I thought I left your last comment dead in the water. I guess not :p

I'm guessing you've never seen Heroes :p. If that scenario were to take place, I think I'd just be still with shock that Kratos even got remotely close to Sylar.I think I have too many baddies that can not die.

Can Kratos be turned into a vampire if Dracula bit him? How bout Niobe? Aeon Flux? Mr. Wayne? Riddick? Those would all make great additions to my squad, if the Count desired. Vampiric Riddick. Now THAT is dangerous.

As for your giant bug, my Black Queen could just form a GIANT camping lantern out of dust, and that should take care of it.

That's the good thing about Kratos -- in addition to the chain blades and a willingness to use them, he does have magic at his disposal if he needs it. He doesn't technically have to come remotely close to Sylar to hurt him. He could just whip out Medusa's head and use its power to turn him to stone.

Let's be realistic, here. Count Dracula has impressive powers, but was taken down by Anthony Hopkins and a grey-haired Keanu Reeves. My team yawns at your threat.

Aeon also sighs sarcastically and throws in a little laugh. And a wink.

hmm. I know not of which Dracula you speak of. The Count Dracula is a feared member of transylvanian society, as portrayed in Bram Stoker's Novel, Count Dracula, or did you not gander at my write-up :)

I love this thread.

As far as Kratos vs. Sylar, I think that the prospect of turning someone into stone would merely interest SYlar, and he'd probably find a way to take it for himself.

The novel that ends with his defeat, you mean.

I'm still not fully convinced that he could. Aeon distracts him with her outfit and general blood lust, Kratos sneaks up and statueizes him from behind. No Medusa head for Sylar. Boo hoo.

I love Aeon, but Sylar, how do you say, isn't the type of guy to be concerned with the female gender. He killed his last girlfriend and took her power.

The only guy who could beat Sylar is the Beyonder, but he is on a different Villain team.

Nothing like a little friendly debate. That said, I wish I wasn't going against your team first round because you have some really bad-*** heroes. This would be a really great final-round matchup.
