I give major credit to Cuz for hustling back to box out for the rebound immediately after getting hit and also for walking away after getting called for a very questionable blocking foul.
It's going to be an ongoing development, but this is a much better control of emotions versus what I saw in the Clippers game where he went into foul mode in the last couple mins. I didn't like Cuz's attitude to keep fouling.
Yes, we got robbed on an out of bounds call where we were down 3 and some BS calls before that. Also, Chris Paul pushing Cousin's head early in the game, Blake Griffin acting as usual and getting away with it etc... I understand that. But the point was, we were down 3 and then 5 with some time left on the clock. Sure, the odds were against us to win or tie the game. But I've seen crazier things happen late in a NBA game. The Spurs were seconds from another ring until the "impossible" happened.
So yes, I loved how Cuz controlled himself in these instances against the Hawks. But he also was on the verge of slipping a few times and it was obvious whatever that was bothering him in the Clippers game was affecting his play. Live and learn. Keep improving, keep growing.
