Hawks @ Kings Game Thread

I was laughing too when Brad said that. They've been having a lot of "damn" games lately. Don't want another "damn" game tonight. ;)
 
i'm dissapointed. 30 pts but only 6 rebounds?
no assists for mobley?
miller had a heck of a game as did barnes and bibby

a win is a win but i would have liked to see total domination against this hawks team.

and i'm mad that i didn't know harrington was back, i started childress this year in my fantasy leage. :(
 
Glad they won the game, obvious flaws but I think Barnes was the man tonight. He got those rebounds nobody else could get.

30pts 6rebs and 7 assists on 55% shooting and 100% from the line on 8 free throws? The Kings also tied the hawks for rebounds( a rarity) I think Webb filled in where the Kings needed it. Not sure why you are dissapointed. Huge game for Brad 14 rebs and Barnes 10 rebs(is that a career high?)
 
WoW a SF on the Kings with 10 rebounds. thats awesome it would be great if we could get that everynight.
 
i think Barnesy got 10 rebounds in another game he started, KP...i want to say the game against Golden State...but then again maybe im completely wrong...i dunno
 
WoW 10 rebounds from the SF position sure would be good for our team everynight and we still scored 114 points. HMMMM I wonder what we could do to get around 10 rebounds everynight from our SF position.

Its just that i didn't know we could win without our SF position going 20 0 0 . but WoW only 10 points and 10 rebounds seemed to be quite adequate. Imagine if The SF position averaged around say 15 points a game and got around 10 rebounds a night. That would be awesome.
 
am i the only that noticed that sk24 hasn't been here all day to reek havoc...hehehehe

the whole day im like somethings missing something missing...and i just figured it out...no sk24...sad really that i spent so much time trying to figure out that something/someone was missing...whata life i have
 
Loved the post game interview w/C Webb!!!:) I'm sure someone more talented than I am will post the whole interview (and more accurately, I tend to paraphrase), but when they asked him about what he thought about the trade deadline he laughed, and said, "I don't know, you know something I don't know?" and they said people were talking about him, and asked if he heard every year that he was going to the Knicks. He said, "Yeah, I hear that a lot, but you know, I never heard that I was coming to the Kings. Sometimes its when you don't hear that you should worry." He also said he doesn't want to be traded for the world. Finally, and my favorite line, he was asked "Well, Chris, why is it ALWAYS you, why are they always talking about YOU?" He laughed and said, " I don't know man, it's just something I deal with. You know, an old lady falls down on the street, seems like I'm the one that pushed her...." laughing.

Too funny! I really like Webb.

Our superstar needs to set the tone on rebounds. He is the leader and regardless of his scoring, 6 rebounds for our starting STAR powerforward is unnacceptable. 2 more and I'd be content. 2 more than that and I'll be happy. 2 more than that and i'll be very juiced about the game.

Dang, I guess he's not perfect! I'm sure if you looked hard enough there is always SOMETHING to complain about, even on the nights he has triple doubles.

Yeah, Webber's triple doubles just aren't "Triple Doubley" enough for me. ;)

go back and read what you just said...

who cares whether you are happy about his "lack luster" performance in rebounding in your opinion...its not about how you feel hun

bottomline is we won...and Matt had a great game...he gobbled up a lot of loose balls...and really you should be looking at Matt being the reason why Chris got 6...he made up for that...its NOT all about stats

lol. lucky he leads the team in rebounding then huh? IMO he's "setting the tone" on a nightly basis. Biggs I like you (your funny as hell most of the time)but your posts are killing me lately.

C'mon now P-Dizz, I'm talking about tonight's game. I am usually the last one to criticize webb. IMO he's been setting the tone on a nightly basis as well, just not tonight. I'm going to be as hard on him as he is on himself. I don't think he would expect any less from a fan.

You're not wrong but since the Kings stayed with the Hawks on the boards(which is a frickin Miracle!) I tend to overlook it thats all. it's not like he got 3... he did break 5 at least. One thing though, he's gonna have to rebound better against Dallas thats for sure.
 
yup, especially with Dirk's athleticism. Any word on Dampier anybody? Will he be playing tomorrow? Despite his offensive inadequacies, I think he's been great for Dallas.

Unacceptable to you, maybe, but I'm pretty happy with his performance. Set the tone on rebounds? He's led the team in rebounds a lot of times this year. Tonight, he got a lot of help inside from Barnes. It was a team effort and a TEAM win and that's what really matters.

The Kings are at their most effective and most lethal when they are playing TEAM ball. We don't need Webber to lead in all categories, we need him to contribute. He did that tonight.
 
ughhh...I hate when ppl try to nick pick and find the bad in everything.....I try not to say anything, but it really frustrates me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

anyway.....Go Kings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
