Post up fadeaway > 20 foot fadeaway.I have seen almost no difference beetween Dirk of old and "more physical mvp dirk"
he just shoots post up fadeaways....
Anybody else notice how quick Stephen Jackson was to get in on that scrum?

Edited for accuracy.Golden State got outplayed tonight...
Golden State got jobbed tonight...
He's nowhere close to being right. They didn't get jobbed, they got beat.
Conspiracy theorists of the world unite...Well to make it a series you need to control the outcome of the games and stern did just that.
Does anyone really believe that the Warriors are capable of beating the Mavs in a seven game series?Well to make it a series you need to control the outcome of the games and stern did just that. In the end the number of calls or number of free throws can end up to be similar but when they are called and whether they are to break momentum / gain momentum make a big difference. It seemed like the refs controlled the game more than the players deciding things and it could have been a good game otherwise
Or is his big master plan to get them all the way to the WCF and then cheat them out of a series?
This game remindes me so much on our first PO series in 1999 against Jazz. The atmosphere, the effort - everything

Anyone else think Dirk is a big soft puff ball?
How much do you think would give to have a guy like Shareef Abdur-Rahim? This is a team where the Mavs really suffer for not having a post up player.
And you think SAR would help???
Yes and no. IF it happens I think the 94 Nuggets would still be the more surprising story. You have to factor in the regular season record as being an indication that this may not be your typical 1 vs. 8. Also the Nellie coaching against his former team and protege angle may bounce a few extra intangibles to the Warriors side. And correct me if I'm wrong but the Sonics did take the first two games of that series, didn't they?Mere hypo here, but would anyone not consider this to be the biggest upset ever in the NBA if GS could pull it off? I think the 94 Nuggets are actually better than this Warriors team.
Wow, this is pretty incredible. Again I really have to wonder if Avery Johnson is just wound too tight. He's not making good adjustments, he's not making good decisions, he's not reminding the Mavs that they're by far the better team. They're just a mess. They'll probably squeak through this series, but hard to see them winning the championship if they're so easily rattled.
