Landry has no value except as a scorer. Putting him out there in a position where you've already got all the offense accounted for is pointless.

The biggest thing that sticks out to me this year so far, is the Kings are beating or competing with very good teams, in games where not everything is coming together for our team.

For example: In PHX, DMC fouled out, we still won. Our bench has been a disaster in many of the games we have won or been close in. DMC has been in foul trouble in many games. There are games like tonight where some people struggled to score, especially Rudy with 7/20, yet we beat the Spurs. Games where we got NOTHING from the SG position and managed to win.

That is huge to me, it shows that we don't need to have our guys playing out of their minds just to win on a given night like we used to.

Biggest reason for this? DEFENSE
We also need to consider that the bench all met each other a month ago.

They might, in fact, get better going forward. Imagine that.

That's the most exciting thing. They really aren't playing over their heads.

Agree 100%

Landry in in a perfect role. We need a starting PF that is not currently on the team. Then sending JT to the bench as the backup C would make our bench frontcourt MUCH better

They actually should get a lot better moving forward. Sessions has never been close to being this bad in his career and has a proven 8+ year career of being one of the top back-ups in the league. I fully expect him to turn it around soon enough. Stauskas is doing his "I'm a rookie" thing and should hopefully get better and more comfortable as the season moves along.

Yea i can't believe how bad Sessions has been. The guy averaged like 17ppg last year if i remember correctly and he once got 26 assists in one game. It's almost unfathomable how bad he's been. He HAS to start performing better, right?

Eye opening win and another great half game performance by the most dominant center in the league. If the Ref's ever start giving Cuz the leeway they give every other center in the league WATCH OUT ! He could go for 35 and 15 ! But no the Ref's want to call Boogie for every bump foul while letting him get absolutely HAMMERED under the rim. If they called all the fouls per game that Boogie endures, the game would be a non stop free throw parade. I think the Ref's are going to eventually come around if Cousins just keeps playing hard, shut his mouth around the Ref's, and just play his game. Sooner or later the calls will even out. If he gives respect to the officials, eventually he will receive respect from them. I see a lot more of that out of him this year and it is starting to pay off. By the midpoint of the season, if the Kings are still in contention for a playoff spot, those dividends will pay off !

Well now that IT's gone, Ben is playing like an actual NBA player, JT has become a good enough man-defender to compensate for doing a lot of dumb things, and Demarcus is pretty much too good to complain about, Rudy's become target number one. We Kings fans need something to complain about.

It's super early, but right now Boogie AND Rudy would merit serious all star consideration. Rudy really is putting up the best numbers of his career. Career high points and assists. Rarely does he get credit for the assists.

Lots of teams will want him.
And they can't have him!

I agree but finding that peice has been elusive so far. Maybe Moreland is that guy but we don't know that yet.

It was great waking up this morning and reading about how much vital Omri Casspi is for the team.

To be honest, I was pretty much worried that coach Malone will reduce Casspi's minutes once again in this game since he did reduced his minutes in the last two games, but fortunately I was proven wrong, Casspi came of the bench and lit a spark for the Kings in the game, he was hustling in his entire minutes on the court and attacked the paint with force and aggression, played with a lot of heart and enthusiasm and was also doing a very decent job on the board also defending the opposing players.

The only thing I think Casspi should try to restore in his game is his three-point shot, apparently he isn't able to knock it down, he is 1/8 from the 3-point line, now I genuinely believe that it is very good that Casspi is aware of his inabilities thus far and not forcing the 3-point shot, but he has to work on it more in order to restore his rhythm from downtown.

Overall great performance from the Kings and especially from Cousins, Collison and Casspi.

Pointless? Are you kidding me? When we have a half-time all star center and maybe a half-time PF. I'm sure I misunderstood you. I'm glad I'm not a Landry fan for then I would be incensed.

I think you may have misunderstood Mr. Brick.

He's simply saying that scoring is Landry's best strenght, and when he's out there with the starting unit, Gay and Cousins take the bulk of the scoring load, especially the post scoring. Better to have him in there with the bench unit (that desperately needs scoring) so that his best strength is not neutralized.

Shuts his mouth AND stops with the methods acting and also it wouldn't hurt if he quit waving a red flag at the refs.

Thanks. My mistake.

I can clearly see what GP saw in Casspi now. As a grown man now his energy/hustle can really effect the game now.

Our systems don't appear to match his game. We're trying to move towards a motion offense with strong focus on team defense. Neither of these have been his strengths, even when he was at the top of his game

I don't think Sessions is going to become a better defender, but he has what it takes to get the ball moving. All he needs is some strict guidance.
