Games like these make me wonder how we ever won five in a row. Seems like a distant memory already. Sheesh.

I don't wonder. It took some historic games from Boogie to win without a secondary scorer that can create for themselves. Also some poopoo perimeter defense. A healthy Rudy and we probably beat Pelicans and probably close out the Hornets if his eyes didn't get clawed off for those 3 free throws.

Shoutout to Chad Iske for somehow making our defensive and offensive game plan even worse than before.

He's a disciple of George Karl's. I would much rather have seen Corliss in the main chair, because he at least understands defense.

Unfortunately Marco isn't panning out so far. His defense is HORRIFIC. Like Stauskas style defense. His defense was not this bad with the Spurs. But overall we need Marco to be a spot-up shooter. He keeps putting the ball on the ground and taking step-backs. I wish Karl would tell him if it's not a catch and shoot or a layup then DON'T SHOOT.

Koufos looks just as lost out there as well.
Marco's defense didn't look as bad at the Spurs because they have a genuinely good defensive system where even bad defenders can be "hidden" and be productive players. Kings on the other hand have a defensive "system" that is flawed and magnifies individual players weaknesses and makes them into unproductive liabilities.

Next game....maybe I'll keep a tally of open perimeter shots the other team gets....scratch that, I'll keep a tally of contested perimeter shots the other team takes......will be easier. It's open 3s for the other team and contested shots for us. How does a HOF coach not get this?

But of course Karl would not allow such a thing to happen. I wonder what Corliss would say about the present coach behind closed doors. I think we all imagine Big Nasty would propose a very different kind of approach to the game which, kinda funny to think about it, must mean Corliss is a pretty good politician to survive on this staff and even to speak for it in those mini interviews heading into the 2nd half.
