"I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal labotomy."
I'D RATHER HAVE A BOTTLE IN FRONT OF ME
(Randy Hanzlick)

Jimmy and I were brothers.
We went down different paths.
Jimmy always listened to my mother,
And me, I never like to take a bath.

As we grew and tumbled through adulthood
The pressure caused emotional drain.
So now I'm slowly dying in the bottle
and Jimmy has to live with half a brain.

Yes, me, I've got a bottle in front of me,
And Jimmy has a frontal lobotomy.
Just different ways to kill the pain the same.

But I'd rather have a bottle in front of me,
Than have to have a frontal lobotomy.
I might be drunk, but at least I'm not insane.

Jimmy let his troubles drive him crazy.
He never tried to drown it in a drink.
I know that drinking makes my thinking hazy,
But at least I still have brains enough to think.

Jimmy's got a brain that isn't stable.
He doesn't have the sense to say his name.
I'm sorry that his doctor was unable
To remove the proper portion of his brain.

Funny how the world works.
People can be real jerks.
Some prefer the tension over booze.

Either way it ends the same.
Hard to beat the living game.
Might as well enjoy it while you lose.

When I need a drink I start to shiver
And Jimmy always viewed it with concern.
But I'd rather have cirrhosis of the liver
Than an intellect that's second to a fern.

I wonder if old Jimmy's gonna hear it
When I tell him that his logic wasn't sound.
They'll dose him up on lots of evil spirits
When they take him to the psychiatric grounds.

I might be drunk, but at least I'm not insane!

He was injured when Fred Jones basically ran over him like he was a piece of carpeting.

You don't tell your premiere shooter to suck it up and risk any problems, especially in a game against the Indiana Pacers in December.

Had you seen Pedja when he tried to get up - twice - and winced with pain, you would have been more than happy for him to sit out the rest of the game.
I definitely agree... I was up from my seat when I saw Peja fall (and wince) and kept my eye on him after the time out until the end of regulation just to see if he was moving well or any at all. I was worried to see him sitting during the OT, but felt good that they didn't make him push himself too much. I mean, if he was already hurting, he was already sucking it up until the end of the fourth. Didn't need to risk it even more by playing an additional 5 mins. Good decision, I think.

A W is a W right?.... Ugh sorta...

...What a frustrating game to watch.... Out team seems to be in a funk. Yes we won but we should've easily beat the Pacers by 15. Maybe we arent good enough. Sure looks like it at this point...

I have to be honest... I do question whether Peja wasn't able to go. Pejas is a bit of a wimp (Pro Athlete wise) especially when he gets an ouchie. He need to dig inside and find the Wizard within himself cause his play of late isnt cutting it.

Well, in the end, we won and the wolves lost. Things couldn't have turned out much better than that. I'm surprised Webber was playing so well on a back-to-back. Maybe his leg is getting better.
i'd rather have us win and the wolves lose yesterday, but i'll take this one. :)

Lobotomy - See "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" with Jack Nicholson
oh gawd that was a horrible movie!!! the book was *SO* much better. so kids, read the book :D

back to the kings....

good to see the kings win, even if it took them OT to do it. whatever, a W is a W and i LMAO when i saw that the BULLS beat the woofs. THE BULLS!!!! i hope peja isn' hurt too bad. maybe it would be good for him to miss a game, maybe it would be good to have a mental break for a little while becuase his stats sure weren't pretty. no free throw attempts AGAIN?!?!?! come on man you are KILLING me. get that butt in the paint!!! get your butt to that line becuase it's automatic points for you mr free throw best at it. ( LOL that's really bad english hehehehe. oh man it's late!)

foster had freaking 12 offensive boards  24 turnovers for the kings

ah well WE WON!!! WOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOO

Going into last night's game, the Kings were leading the league in fewest turnovers. That's a good thing. Then, last night they couldn't seem to hold onto the ball or keep their focus and committed 24 turnovers. That's a bad thing. BUT - and this is important to me, at least - despite the abysmal turnovers, they sucked it up and they won!

That is what's truly important. It was a horrible performance and yet, when push came to shove, they got the job done.

And - for the record - even Grant is now beginning to make a comment when Webber gives "the look." Webb does that and the entire team seems to get energy from it.
