Man, the Kings are pathetic. Just pathetic. Getting trounced at home like that.

Inexcusable. Woeful. Listless. Laughable, if not so inept. How many adjectives do you need?

The 76ers and the Pacers just humiliated us from start to finish....really never close. To lose that convincingly on your home court, with this payroll, with the level of experience and talent.....it points to the coaching staff.

Yes the players deserve ALL the blame too...BUT....we all see the obvious inefficiencies on the court....the competency on the sideline is just as glaring...

Elston Turner looks so baffled and at a loss for what to say in his half-time interviews....which is reflective of the whole entire staff....out of answers.....out of ways to motivate or inspire....out of jobs if the Maloofs were not such nice guy, procrastinating wait-and-see loyalists.

Rick Adelman can yell and plead and reason all he wants....these players have heard enough and don't care what he says anymore....7 years is enough..move on....he has been tuned out and his effectiveness as a coach is over.

Rick Carlisle impresses me so much as a coach. I listened to a lot of his post game press conferences last year during the payoffs. He is very sharp basketball mind, never harps on the refs, hold his players accountable, his analysis and his strategy always insightful. In turn, his players respect him, and want to bust their butts for him every minute on the court. Not so the relationship between Kings and their head coach.

Firing Adelman now could not possible set us back. How could it? It does not get any worse than being down 30 points on your home court in the 3rd quarter. This level of play has been seen too often to be an aberration, injuries or otherwise. Shake-up is overdue. Whether a trade presents itself or not, is immaterial. The Maloofs need to make a statement to their fans they will not tolerate this level of performance.

I predict Adelman will be fired by the end of this month. In fact....looking at their schedule....I am anticipating getting swept on their 3 game road trip....4 total loses next week....with Adelman being canned after home loss against the Magic next Sunday....finally something as a Kings fan to get excited about. :)

The Maloofs will make a statement to the fans that they won't tolerate abysmal performance by the players by firing Adelman?

He will depart by the end of the season at the latest. Once he is gone, there will be plenty of time for people to second-guess that decision. Be very careful what you wish for...

Whoever says having a lame duck coach doesn't matter, I think Geoff Petrie was one of those people, is wrong. Clearly, this team ain't listening, if he is saying anything at all.

Here we go again - Unfortunately, Adelman will probably lose his coaching position with the King's Organization - and it AIN'T HIS FAULT

Adelman is not blameless in this matter.....I would have to say that no one in this organization is blameless from the top on down.

I'll go along with that .... starts at the top.

But, you, me and the whole NBA WORLD knows Adelman is the one that's gonna get SHAFTED.

The battles are won-n-lost in the trenches .... and right now our guys are bringin' PEA SHOOTERS to the game, while the opponent is bringin' BAZOOKAS !!!

you're right, no one is blameless. And although I've always liked Adelman, I'm not sure he's the right coach for this bunch. What I do know is that if the only move that is made is to get rid of RA, that isn't nearly enough to make a difference for this team. There are major problems with this team. If they feel the need to get rid of RA, fine, put him out of his misery, but don't stop there, because that's just a small piece of the puzzle.

Of course it isn't just Ricks fault, but the writing is on the wall. The only other option is to either stick with him and sign him long term. That doesn't seem like the realistic sceario. He is the ultra example of a lame duck coach, that in all realistic scenarios, whether through losing or winning, will not be the long term coach of the Sacramento Kings.

The Maloofs should just move on now and not drag this whole rediculous saga on any further.

Aside from Miller and Bibby, I'm not sure any of these "low graders" will be getting minutes in the NBA all that long. Yes, I include Peja.

Care to explain?

Peja will easily be a starter on any team he gets traded too. He just cannot be number one option.

Kevin Martin will get quite a few minutes in the NBA for years to come. He has shown in my opinion glimpses that he will be a very exciting player to watch (and I hope it is with the Kings).

Kevin Martin!? Nope. He is not now, and will never be IMO a scoring threat.

Tell me what team is after Peja and wants to start him right now.

I still don't understand what you are trying to say. IN your first post you said that none of the "low graders" will be getting minutes in the NBA that long.

In my opinion you are wrong (or didn't express yourself correctly). Kevin has a potential and I don't see why it should be assumed that he will not be getting any minutes in the NBA for years to come.

I don't know what teams are after Peja (if any), but RA is not playing him just because he has to and is forced too. All of our starting 5 (regular starting 5) are solid NBA players. They all have their faults, but when utilized properly they have a lot to add to the team. We all know Peja's downsides, but it is ridiculous to say that if he went on another team that he would not be a starter. Of course he might end up not being a starter but that's besides the point.

Any team can use a player like Peja or Mike or Brad or SAR or Bonzi or Kevin and any of them would get a decent amount of minutes where ever they go.

I'm trying to say Martin is mediocre now and couldn't sniff many minutes for any other teams in the league. Peja has regressed to a mediocre player. He does nothing but shoot. Aside from Miller and Bibby none seem worthy of NBA minutes.

I know some posters have become quite parental when it comes to Martin, but the guy IMO is a "tweener" only in the sense he's destined to be squeezing between guys on the bench.

The maternalistic stuff aside, Martin has had several games recently suggesting he may have turned a corner, although not one in consistency or reliability unfortunately.

I just do not get what happened. If I were to give grades, most of the individual players would score higher than what Brick gave them, but as a team, they would still get an F. How does that happen? Look at Bibby, for example. If you looked at his game alone - not bad at all. 26 pts (45%), 4 boards, and 8 assists (only 2 in the 2nd half I think.) His game effeciency was 20 (2x that of Bobby). That is not a bad night for a PG, but he never seemed "right" in the game. In the flow of the game, it was horrible. That is just one example. You could do the same for each player.

It is like they are not even a team. Nobody knows what the other guy is doing. I just do not know how this can be fixed.

...im not making fun..but seriously....that really made me laugh, thanks Chelle least you perked me up a bit.
