Nothing is being twisted. Last night, Webber made a mistake the second time he mentioned it and said that Carril had said he was the most talented. I heard it with my own ears. I wasn't claiming Carril was being inconsistant.

If two different statements were made, the one where he said he was the most talented was not the mistake. That has been what Coachie has been saying from the beginning. DeMarcus Cousins, in his opinion, is THE most talented guy he's ever worked with. THE. Numero Uno.

No, both times it was THE. And he said it back during summer league too. Its a remarkable statemnt, especially whn he makes it to Webb, who he of course also coached. And you can see it with Boogie. You don't have 75 years of bball in you like Coahie does, but the talent just oozes. You're not supposed to do those things at his size. He's already, right now, quite possibly the most offensively talented center in the NBA. And he's 20.
I've never heard Coachie compliment a young player like that before. When I look at Cousins talent wise, I think he might be more fundamentally skilled at age 20 then Webber was.

Of course Webb was more athletic, and a better finisher in the open court, but I think Cousins jumper is better, his passing is better(Webb didn't become a great passer until his mid 20's), and footwork in the post might be better. Webber could probably block more shots, but Cousins when it comes to team defense, pretty equal. Only comparing them at age 20 here.

How Cousins turns out we no one knows, but he's the closest thing talent wise to Webber, minus the athleticism, we've seen in a while.

I'm not sure what the origonal statement was i just know Webber said it was one of the most taleneted the first time he mentioned it and the next time it was the most talented.

If I'm not mistaken Cousins was about 15 years old when Coachie was 75. Nevertheless, it impresses me that Carral thinks that of Cousins. I'm rooting for him to grow and get better yet.

Someone has added Jerry to the 4th spot. I'd like to see JT there but I have no clue how to modify these things.

First of all Jerry was the perfect choice -- I actually was thinking of trying to add him in there myself when I saw the original. But what I went out looking for, and could not find out there was that old picture of Jerry with a green mohawk -- now THAT would have rocked.

My other thought had been using Petrie and puposefully using his expressionless demeanor back there whiel everyone else is smiling/laughing.

Can't believe I missed this game.

Just a question, is anybody else upset that Donte doesn't get to see more minutes? Seriously, I think he really could be good but he just never gets the opportunity. It's like he gets into the game for 1 minute, misses a shot (if he does shoot) and we don't see him or he plays well for 10 minutes and never returns. Am I the only one that likes to see Donte out there?

To be honest, Donte is just not that good right now. I know he needs playing time to prove himself but even when he started and played he wasn't all that impressive before coach yanked him. He doesn't seem smart enough to me and has way too many flaws in his game that just scream roleplayer to me.

I know during summer league, Coachie just blew away Webber, when he talked about Cousins. What I remember is Coachie not only saying the best, but saying he was the most unique player he'd ever seen skill-wise. Coacjie said he'd hear all kinds of raves about a player and then, when he'd see the player it was like, "Yeah, I've seen that before." Let's face it, Coachie has seen a LOT. But what he said about Cousins was that Cousins showed him things he hadn't seen before from a player. That Cousins had truly unique skills. That was what really excited Coachie and blew away Webber. Its what makes me excited to see just what kind of player Cousins will be someday, if he has the drive/ambition to really work for it.

I understand where you’re coming from but I feel that Donte doesn’t get the same treatment as other players. I also feel like he was way better last year than this year – a little weird in my opinion. I know he came into camp a little out of shape but he’s worked on himself and he has shown the ability to get in there and do a good job but I feel that our coach just either yanks him out when he does produce and never comes back in or really isn’t even given a chance.

And I’m not saying that he’s perfect, he definitely has some flaws and I think he really needs to improve in some areas but I really don’t think that he’s got a chance to really get out there and play, make mistakes and learn.
