Realistically, no panic speak here, what do you think is coming?

After many years on this board, I've never reacted to a single game and then got on the board and called for heads to roll (Jason Thompson notwithstanding). But tonight this team has pushed me over the edge. Tonight I feel for the first time that, without a doubt, this team is poorly constructed, poorly coached, and led by a weak-minded brute who is his own worst enemy. I'm talking about Cuz, not Karl. But I'm ready for Karl's head to roll, too. I think he's just hoping to add some wins to his record by applying the same formula he used in Denver. A formula that doesn't win in the playoffs and isn't suited to the players on the Kings roster. Karl coached 30 games last year, and (so far) 32 games this year. That's over 75% of an entire season (and don't excuse half of those games because he didn't have a pre-season; that excuse has become weak and tiresome). If things are looking this bad after that many games, Karl just doesn't have it and is not likely to find it. He's gotta go, no matter the PR nightmare that looms because of it. And tonight Cuz proved to me that, without a doubt, he's weak-minded, self-destructive, and is never going to take a team to the promised land as its leader. Sorry for all of you whose love for the Kings requires Cuz to be THE MAN. But you picked the wrong horse. He just isn't (the man) and isn't going to become it in this lifetime. He'll have some monster games, but he'll also get bested regularly by role players with half of his talent, but enough smarts to know how to take advantage of his weaknesses. Spare me the stats that you think prove his ability. I have no doubts about his abilities. But lots of people have incredible ability on and off the basketball court, and yet they never seem able to put it all together and find success.

I'm really not disrespecting her because of her gender. It's more of a "women's basketball" thing that worries me. It was the same worry a lot of us had when the Maloofs wanted to hire that Monarchs coach (who was a male)...I can't recall his name.

Nancy Lieberman is already in the Naismith Hall of Fame. And it's not because she's good at baking chocolate chip cookies.

Nancy Lieberman has better credentials coaching men than John Whisenant. At least she's coached professionals.

Not sure if the video embeds here. If it does't, go to twitter and watch this clip. It summarizes everything wrong with this teams scheme. There is no way the players are doing this consistently without being told to. I honestly believe that Karl thinks they just need to rotate back to the shooter faster. Its the only thing that makes sense.

Okay, take a sec during this TO to watch a short clip. Don't watch the ball... watch the madness on the weak side

You don't feel Scott Brooks is a respected coach? He has a .620 winning percentage as a head coach in the NBA.

And George Karls is .592 and was well over .600 before joining the Kings. Look at what people thought about Brooks, his systems, etc, not what his winning % was with two of the top 5 players in the NBA. He played Kendrick Perkins extended minutes, during crunch time, in the playoffs.

He got them to the NBA Finals once and the conference finals 3 times.

It's amazing to me how many different directions a thread can take when people are beyond frustrated. Bottom line is we - the loyal Kings fans - deserve a lot better from all concerned. Considering the amount of money season ticket holders are shelling out to watch this team "play" there should be a virtual flash flood of heads rolling around STA right now.

You can always use that argument but then, at the same time, you could say that none of our current problems are the fault of George Karl. It's the player's fault, right?

When a team repeatedly does the exact same thing, it's the coach. That is why Brooks got fired. They had the talent to win it all, despite his coaching flaws. He is not a terrible coach, but he is not a good coach. He was easily in the bottom half of the league in coaching competency. Notice, nobody beat his door down to give him a job.

Now Karl was an above average coach. *Was. It's very apparent that the mistakes the Kings are making are scheme related, and not because we have bad players. Follow Kings twitter for a game if you don't. Literally ever major kings blogger or personality is saying the exact same thing. We all see it.

The people in any aspect of leadership need to have solidarity and respect. This is not a team playing together for a single purpose, and whatever is the cause of that needs to change. I'd rather have a squad of nobodies playing together (ala Karl's nuggets) than a star-studded cast who can't reach .500.

I'd rather have a squad of any talent level, that's not playing for a coach trying to make them fight their nature.

Brooks made it clear he didn't want to interview for any jobs for the 2015-16 season. He wanted to be with family in CA.
