Often people bring up how we should not feel bad for NBA players who make millions. At least they are out there hustling and playing hard to earn their money. It is the league who makes the most money of of us poor NBA fans, by sticking their stupid logo on everything. It is sad that it is always a one way communication and there is no way our voice can be heard.

There is a new acronym in my dictionary tonight, to join likes of FTM and others. FNBA!

I for one want to congratulate our team on getting through a tough week as a losing winner. These last 4 loses don't mean anything to me in a sense that we are not as good as our opponent. Sometimes it feels like an opposing team has 8 players on the court, 3 of them wearing gray shirts.

They just showed Chris Webber, who said he wasn't going to say anything about it. He told the media guys to write what they wanted, that he wasn't going to boost their ratings AND pay a fine.

The News10 guy reported that he asked Webber if he was angry, He said Webber replied, "Have you ever been SO MAD that all you can do is smile?" He said Webber didn't say anything else but that he had a big smile on his face.

The Kings are NOT going to let this defeat them. In fact, watching the reactions, etc. I think the teams the Kings face the rest of this month better watch out. The team feels as though it's them against the world...

And I'm with them in spirit!!!

Appearetly so. I have never had the luxary of that sitting close to the floor at games, but I know people who have. A friend of mine used to work at ARCO and he said the things you hear are crazy. Cuttino even talked about a ref going crazy on Mike in that last game. It's sad. Now, the players shouldn't be allowed to go crazy on the ref's either, but there is nothing that a player can do. The refs can T him up, what is a player supposed to do when the role is reversed. Talk about it after the game and get fined, right after they just lost money getting a T in the game????

Yeah but what else would you expect him to say. That it really was a goaltend that should have been called. No player would say that. So what they all should do, (Dampier, Stoudemire, etc) is not say anything about it all. At least be like Jaosn Terry and say I don't know. But don't rub it in by saying it was a block.

No, I would expect a professional to say the truth. Heck, even Mark Cuban who spends the whole game complaining to the refs that his team is being jobbed said it was the wrong call.

It's like what Cat said, Jack Neis must be having a bad day. But bad day or not, you should not be giving your attitude in your job. It's like that every job.

With that said, I thought the Kings should had done other things to make them win the game. Make FTs and play better D. If that would had happen, we would be talking about a win right now.

Btw, on the radio...Kings reporter Scott Marsh said that Mark Cuban throughout the whole game kept complaining to the refs every timeout about not getting calls Mavs way. But when it was the goaltending play....Cuban AGREED THAT IT WAS GOALTENDING. He knew the Mavs got away with one.

Ill pass on any refs comments. The guys have dug themselves a big enough hole as it is and my fellow posters have already said enough.

i'll be @ NJ trying my best to help these guys win (on wednesday).. i promise to cheer very loudly and support them, winning or losing! i hope people who will be attending the other road games do so as well..

It's unbelieveable how much power the refs have over a single game.....

Not only that, they are quite disrespectful to players as well. I don't understand if a player is talking to you quite calmly there is no need to be so rude...

Have you ever been SO MAD that all you can do is smile?

I recorded the game and just watched it this morning. That is almost how I feel. I wasn't as mad as they are, but it was so frustrating that you just had to smile, shake your head, and be determined to keep fighting.

If the Kings weren't already determined, I think the frustration of this week will make them give everything they've got this season. They might run out of gas, they might just not be good enough, but collectively they are going to fight to the end to win it all. It'll be fun to watch.

Before people get all up in the team about the final minutes, PLEASE remember they played a tough game at a VERY fast pace last night in Seattle , had to grab a very late flight home, and then play another run and gun game tonight.

To play it at the level they do IS hard. And more importantly, unlike yourself at work, every night they are matched up against equals or near equals -- the very best basketball players in the world. Anything which robs even 10% of their energy or legs would make absolutely no difference if they were playing one of us, but against an equally talented player, that's all the difference it takes.

Try running a marathon 3-4 times a week, add in practice time. Anybody whos ever done any kind of strenuos physical activity knows there are times when things come easy and also times when your body doesn't want to cooperate.

I don't know what you do for a living but teaching classes is not terribly exausting. On the other hand theextreem physical and psychological effort of playing all out for 2 hrs is tough. I can only immagine it might be akin to the second day of a a mountin climb. I know it is quite doable but day two you always lack the strneth and energy you had on day one and every subsequent day there is an attrition of strenth and energy.

I've experienced it during tournaments in several different sports (at a much lower level obviously), but NEVER with the addition of flying into a new city, arriving past midnight etc. etc., and never in a situation where the other guy/team wasn't in the same position as I was having played the day before. And even without those additional factors, and even though I was a young man (younger than almost all of the Kings), you still check to see what your legs feel like as soon as you hit the court. They're not always 100% there.
