Brick - Bill Russell was there as part of the season-long "Legends" nights extravaganzas announced at the beginning of the year.

Quick! Hurry and queue up and beat the mad rush!

Amazingly, the line apparently stretches all the way to Florida.

But he's not really even a Kings legend unless being the precursor to Jerry Reynolds counts as legendary.

He put more asses in the seats as a coach than Pete Chilcutt ever did as a player, and Chilli got honored at a Legends Night, IIRC. He dammed sure put more asses in the seats than Jim Les.

I prefer we pack the roster with players that benefit from team-ball, and with scrappy fighters on D. We already have the difference-making personal talent star quality in DMC and Rudy.
This is it. We already have the optimal amount of talented iso players in a contending team.

No way.

Jim Les is truly a legend. I gave my brother a custom made "Les For Threee!" Kings jersey on his birthday back in 1991 or so.

I believe that more people went to ARCO to watch Mister Russell read the newspaper than ever went to see Jim Les play.

You, alas, missed out on the Jim Les experience. He was a bright spot during the darkest early years. A working man's hero!

Bill Russel was a washed up old cackling has been stealing money from the franchise and trading away Otis Thorpe.

umm... Jim Les was almost automatic from 3 for the Kings that one season.
I believe he led the league in 3 ptrs for most (if not all) of one season.
He was more of a reason _I_ watched the team at that time than Bill Russell, so at least this one fan's experience refutes your statement.

And how many of you are there? Unless your name is Jaime Madrox, I don't think your experience refutes my statement at all.

While I don't disagree with the refrain that Rudy hasn't been 100% invested in the team lately, I think it does need to be pointed out he was hurt in this particular game.

Hurt enough that he's not playing tonight against the Suns
