Way to be disingenuous, Brick.

You know as well as we do that with the upcoming schedule, the Kings are effectively not 4-6.
With the way they are finding ways to lose, they should not be favored to win but 1 of the next 12 games.
If they (quite likely based on the season thus far) go 2-10 or even 4-8, that makes them 6-16 or 8-14.

Go ahead and trot out the statistics that support a 6-16 team making the playoffs.
Then realistically compare those teams' mentalities (and coaching) to this team and coaches.

They blew the games they needed to win already this season.
They treated those games lightly at their peril.
Every time they got a lead (or even were tied!), they played noticeably lazier and more reckless, leading to more turnovers.

You can ignore the weaknesses as long as you want, but the writing of this season is already on the wall. It's practically graffiti-ied all over the shiny new arena.
I mean...seriously? this is post you want up there for all posterity? 10 games in, with a grand total of 6 losses "they blew the games they needed to win already this season!!!"

SMH.

Its a new team with a new coach, the fact they haven't done everything right is exactly what you would expect. And indeed given that he's also a very good and disciplined coach, its also a reason to expect us to eventually win MORE, as the team comes together and the coach installs more play to play discipline. When you play a certain way because you just do, instead of because you were told to.

And by the way, the brutal pacing of the early season notwithstanding, the NBA plays a balanced schedule. If they give you an unceasing murderers' row and weeks at a time on the road early -- which goes on for us all the way through early December, then there are going to be some nice baby soft stretches and long homestands as we get deeper into the season. Just the way it works. A team that stood at 1-9 after playing Golden State 4 times, the Spurs 4 times, and Cleveland 2 times in the opening weeks of the season would actually have a real shot at making a run later in the season because all of the automatic losses were accounted for.

Indeed.

We will ignore of course the fact that what I said was 100% the truth.

And hey kiddies, some more truths!

Tom Thibodeau has started 2-5
Frank Vogel has started 3-5
Scott Brooks has started 2-5
and Dave joerger has started 4-6

Now every one of those fanbases can run around like panic stricken children, OR, they can suck it up, accept that it takes a while to fully seize the reigns and turn things, and sit back and see how it goes.

Here's another one:
Rick Adelman, '99 Kings
- starts off 5-6
- is 9-11 through 20
- is 13-17 through 30
- is 18-22 through 40

Because it takes time.
This is a totally ridiculous argument you're making. It makes no sense.

You're not a very good lawyer are you?

I'm sure Marc Gasol missing the start of the season is totally unrelated to the slow start.

For the record, I like the coach. He's the only thing going for this franchise right now. And he very well could be the only one left in a year.

I understand the disappointment. I am not looking forward to the game tonight. We may look horrible. Boogie may go berserk in a bad way. The substitutions may be awful. Etc. Etc. Etc. I won't even consider the refs.

If you shove your emotions deep down inside your soul or wherever emotions lie and let cold, hard logic guide your thoughts, you will see that 4-6 is not bad and we will probably have an awful record through this year. Then we hit the gas on an easy schedule and even it all out. This becomes more likely with a veteran team as they have seen it all or at least some have. The team is less likely to panic than the fans.

This is coming a bit late, but after thinking about it an F for Shaq

This guy was looked at as a possible mentor for Cousins, and he's running his mouth about him at halftime? Wasn't Shaq initially thought to be someone to tutor Cousins possibly?

Now his nonsense has helped abett an entire round of Cousins trade chatter

Did you ever think that Cousins never really accepted Shaq as a mentor and that Shaq in the process had sour grapes? I never once saw Shaq and Cousins on the court together, whether it was for basketball purposes or guidance.

Back when it started, both Shaq and Cousins said that they were talking to each other on a regular basis. The impression I got was that Shaq was giving him advice in general. Not helping him with his game.

Since Shaq doesn't live in Sacramento and isn't here very often, I'm not sure how you would expect them to be "on the court" together.

Personally, I think Shaq's ardor started to wane when Vlade was brought on as GM.

I have a feeling Shaq's opinion is more likely based on fact than it is just sour grapes.

Not that it's an official source or anything but my buddy has a coworker who works down near the floor during home games and is around and about during practice sometimes and he's always telling stories about how Cousins can be a flat out jerk to most of his teammates but he's really nice to the staff, fans and everyone else. Some people can't handle being better than everyone else. To him it has to be annoying that some of these guys can't do simple things like knock down a 12 foot shot. Jordan was like that but he won games so it was acceptable and even respected.

He doesn't have to live in Sacramento for him to make an appearance from time to time to go over some post moves or anything "on court" related
