I didn't get to watch the game (They aired the SA-DEN game here) but I guess we were sleep walking?

For about 1.5 quarters, yes. Comatose is more like it.

No excuses. That was an all-around lack of effort and poise.

I don't know what Miller's deal is, but it seems someone has covered his hands with flubber here lately. Same with the rim on our gimme shots.

The only positive I can draw from this (and it's a stretch) is that perhaps this will light a fire under them and remind them that they still have to TRY. We are one loss + NO win away to slipping back down to the 9th seed, and we have 14 games left to mess it up with some very formidable opponents lined up, and a few back-to-backs. Every play must be a hustle play, the rest of the season. Enough of this crap.

No team fighting for a playoff spot has any killer instinct or they woudn't be a 6-8 seed to start with. The elite teams have killer instinct, not the mediocre ones.

I would argue that Kobe has one (even though he's done horrible in the clutch %-wise), but from your definition, I guess not the Lakers as a team.

1-3 in last 4 is not very good. concerning pattern of losing to teams we need to beat starting to develope. hopefully the guys can finish the season with a good run and come into the playoffs strong.

Have to be a little careful or there aren't going to BE any playoffs. A week ago we looked poised to battle for the #6 spot. Now all of a sudden we are half a game out of 9th. This kind of defines now or never. 14 games left...figure 8-6 would make it tough on our pursuers. 9-5 woudl force somebody to get really hot. But a 7-7 or 6-8 type bumble home and we could get ourselves in real trouble. And that's with what are likely two automatic losses coming up in April with road games at Dallas & San Antonio on back to back nights.

well yeah, i know. i am just being optimistic.

I'm more excited about the possibilities of next season and starting with a clean slate anyway
