If, I think you are talking about the infamous 36-4 first quarter? We scored int hat one. In fact I think the NBA record for fewest points in a quarter is either 3 or 4. Not zero.

But of course when you are talking about totals that low, would obviously be no surprise if they were o-fers as well. Sure some national article will make a point of highlighting it vs. other all time bad quarters if its right up there.

I thought it was 47-4?! The record was 4 by a few teams I believe.

Was Phil Johnsons last game as coach. They replaced him with our own Jerry Reynolds.

Found this from a quick google search.

JAZZ 89, KINGS 79: Sacramento did not make a field goal in the fourth quarter, allowing Utah to rally for a home victory.
Andrei Kirilenko scored 14 of his 24 points in the period, when the Kings went 0 for 20 from the field and were outscored 34-12.
The last time the Kings failed to convert a field goal in a quarter was Feb. 4, 1987, against the Los Angeles Lakers. It last happened in the NBA on March 13, 2005, by the Detroit Pistons against the Jazz, according to the Elias Sports Bureau.
Ron Artest, who left the game early with what appeared to be a hip pointer, led Sacramento with 20 points. Mike Bibby, who had scored 40 points four times in the last 10 games, scored 15 points and shot just 4 of 16.

February 4, 1987
The Sacramento Kings managed only four points in the first quarter of a 128-92 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, the fewest points in the first quarter by a team since the inception of the shot clock in 1954.

The team goes from only playing Hart at bacup PG to playing noone as backup PG. I don't really like that as a solution to the problem.

Also, the offense is changing but you can still cut and pass the ball. You just don't need to rely on jumpers now.

Given the lack of roster options, why not? Has done fine so far. Nobody's taken advanatge of it yet. Have a feeling they eventually might...assuming that they decide we even matter enough to bother gameplanning for. But for a temporary patch, so far 2 games, no real mishaps.

Would the Kings have won if kevin had played 48 minutes, and Bonzi zero minutes? One can do a lot of damage with nine turnovers.

The big question is how long should I keep my "BONZI, BONZI, BONZI" signature? How quickly can I jump off the bandwagon?

well, we are a better team than the jazz. we showed that threw the first 3 qs. Then, somebody put a helmet on our basket and blindfolded our players. Then somebody shot Ron Artest in the side. And now somebody better shoot me.

LMAO...I'm thinking I'm glad I only saw the first half of this one...

Well, because the offense looked pretty clunky even when they were ahead. I know its a new team, but I think a real PG would help. Players kept dribbling in too deep(trying to be the playmaker) before passing out and it was causing turnovers and forced shots.

It's his 2nd game back, QD....

I don't give a crap if it's his first game back. Unless it was some sort of injury with his hands, and they are still injured, 9 to's is inexcusable. NINE turnovers for a guy that doesn't even handle the ball! He doesn't dribble up the court, he doesn't set up the offense, he's not even the main focus on the offense. I'd say out of Bonzis 20 possessions, 9 of them were turnovers. Not to mention the missed wide open layups. I would have prefered Bonzi to ride the pine the entire game and have Cisco and Martin split the time, than Bonzi to come out and give up possesions like that. Dude puts out a lot of heart. But for THAT game, I think the Kings would have benefited without him in the lineup.
