Really, is ZERO defensive rebounds by ANY player acceptable? And especially a POWER FORWARD? Really, Landry needs to work harder at the defensive end to snag a few rebounds. Padding his offensive numbers by cherry picking offensive rebounds to score does not help the team in any way. Landry either needs to play defense and get defensive rebounds, or he should ride the pine. His scoring has not been consistent anyway, so if he is not giving effort at the defensive end he becomes part of the problem. JT has been playing better as of late, so hopefully JT will get more minutes to improve is game.

Eh? So letting the other team get the defensive rebound is better?I don't see the logic there. I agree with everything else though. Problem is, when one has a bad game, the other has a good one. Nobody is consistent.

Landrys height is what limits him the most. You can try as hard as you want to crash the boards but its hard for a 6'9 or w/e guy to grab the board over 6'11+ guys. He can try to box him out but then the guy could just reach over Landry. He can put in the effort, but if all it does it put you in the position to get injured, or tire you out, or get called for fouls, then youre going to think twice about putting in the extra hustle. Hes just way too short. He could match up well with smaller PFs. I think thats where he'd be best.

Rodman, Barkley, B. Wallace, etc. lots of good short rebounders. Not sure what Landy's problem is, but it's not all related hops/height.

Well those guys were just flat out skilled in getting rebounds. All much bigger than Landry too (not heightwise). It's not really fair to compare Landry to them, because he can probably only compete on the effort part. But 0 is really not cutting it, no excuses there.

Brockman anyone? They're about the same height, yet Brockness kills Landry on the boards. Gimme a break.

Casspi's 6'9", and he had 10 rebounds. He plays PF as well as SF. Regardless of what position they play, if they try to get a rebound they'll be banging around with guys a lot taller than them because the taller guys hang around the basket to get those rebounds. It's just a matter of effort. Carl didn't even seem like he was trying to get any rebounds last night.

Good points. I heard during a broadcast that Landry is closer to being 6'7 6'8. But who knows. Landry seems a lot less physically imposing, at least to me, than some of the guys mentioned.

You always see Omri/Tyreke sort of running in to the basket to get defensive rebounds. Carl on the other hand, just doesn't go after them if he's not in position to get them, and he's rarely in position to get them.
