I'm of the opinion that replay would slow the game down way too much. It would kill momentum far worse in basketball than any other sport. Plus if your team is good enough it will overcome bad calls.
Also, unless it's blatant and happens over and over give the refs a break it is a tough job. They do get graded and talked to about every call/non-call.
Bottom line worry about the team and not the refs.
I mostly agree, but there's a much bigger issue here: Cousins FOULED OUT. Yes a good team should stay composed and keep fighting through bad calls, but it's a different story when your best player gets DQ'd on one.

I think the fairest and least disruptive solution is to rescind personal fouls on players, without changing the outcome of the plays.

You could allow teams a set number of foul challenges. The refs or a remote NBA office could review those challenges and then, before the start of the next quarter or OT period, announce any rescinded PF's.

If it happened here, Cousins would have been DQ'd in the fourth. Kings challenge, and following a review, he is reduced to 5 PFs entering OT, allowing him to return.

The good news is Demarcus shows up on the stat leader boards again.

He's officially #3 in both points and rebounds. I honestly can't imagine there being any precedent for someone with those numbers not making an all star team.

Without Boogie last night Kings lose by 20.

As for Corbin, his explanation for the curious decision to run clock is, well, just sad. I want to like him, but yikes.
And now I'm replying to myself.

To the guy, whoever it was, who said Demarcus was making progress under Corbin, let me remind you Boogie got player of the week earlier this year under Malone. Not Corbin.

I'm sorry but I have to question that. How do you know they're fined and suspended?
I am an area high school referee. Now that doesn't make me an expert by any means, but with having some connections in the referee world, I am aware of what scrutiny and grading that they go through. I have been to several camps and know several people who are friends with NBA referees. In no way am I trying to be a know it all of the situation. I just wanted to give a little background to some of you so you know that she will more than likely be dealt with.

He does get 5 mistakes/chances.

It was a really bad call and obviously the timing was terrible but Lauren Holtkamp is not a bad referee. Actually from what I have seen she is one of the better refs that doesn't try to make the game about her and play favorites with the star players. I will take Lauren over Bob Delaney and Bennett Salvatore any day of the week.

She's the type of ref that calls things as she sees it which is actually a noble thing that so many refs don't do. The average NBA ref is so caught up in context and the name on the back of a player's jersey that most of their calls are not calling it as they see its.

The problem with Lauren and this play was she was in bad position for that play and she fell for Chandler's acting. She needs to learn that at that point of game with Cousins having 5 fouls you can't make that call being in bad position. You can't make that call unless you are 100% sure Chandler is not flopping.

And that's what I think most of us are saying. She's a rookie who hasn't learned to spot the fakers. She was not in a position to make the call and should have consulted with the other officials. I will excuse her lack of experience but I will not excuse her lack of understanding of the significance of making a call of that importance when she didn't actually see the "foul."
