Chico State is also very beautiful, with Big Chico Creek running through the middle and the little ampitheater on campus straddling the creek. I saw a free live show put on by the Drovers there - very cool.

And Bidwell Park extends from Chico State up into the canyons outside Chico, a great park for just about anything, including hiking, mountain biking, horse riding, laying in the sun, swimming, etc.

The 3,618-acre municipal park encompasses both sides of Big Chico Creek Canyon for a full five miles up into the foothills, making it a truly spectacular retreat. There's really no park like it anywhere.

Annie Bidwell deeded the original property--some 2,238 acres--to the City of Chico on July 10, 1905, along with the Children's Park downtown, and since then it has remained in the public trust. An additional 1,380 acres were added with a purchase approved by the City Council in 1995.

Home of Big Chico Creek, Sycamore Pool, Bidwell Golf Course and Big Chico Creek Canyon--to name a few of the most popular features--the park is the natural heart and soul of the community and regularly tabbed by News & Review readers as the best thing about Chico.

Here's another one of my fav's that I've been to(lived not too far from it actually), Boston University:

No moose like UAA, but LOTS of beautiful sights and historical buildings.

Brick, I'll have you know that UCSC is a prettier school/campus than Santa Barbara. Gotta rep my slugs. In other news, wouldn't say no to an offseason school draft.

Hell yes!! I loved living in Boston/New England! Everything has been wicked ever since. :D
Yeah me too, was sad to live but was pretty unhappy with my work life and never seeing family after school and just kind of ran away. Portland is a very similar town but way more affordable. The story goes that it was originally settled by a Bostonian and a gent from Portland, ME and a coin-toss decided the name.

I really hope that after a good effort like tonights came we see them go out and play a dud against a bad team like the warriors like we so often do. Thats what really pisses me off.
LOL. That's exactly what I'm afraid of. The Warriors did play and lose last night to the Flakers so maybe that could help the Kings.

BTW, awesome pics of the colleges. Too bad I didn't have the smarts to get into one of them. :(

Well, with everyone missing freethrows and Martin being the best freethrow shooter on the team, I think it might have been nice if he were out there. Apparently Westphal told him he wanted him in the game and Martin didn't want to go back in. The Dude is being paid big bucks to be the man. He's not being paid big bucks to watch.
IMO, its not about being the best free throw shooter in crunch time, its abuot being clutch. The only guys I would trust to make both of those would be Udrih and Evans who are both Ice cool in crunch time. And if they happen to miss, its because they missed, not because they cracked under the pressure like Thompson did. I don't blame thompson either, because he just ins't ready for that, yet we continue to put him and other mentally fragile players in that kind of position where as other teams pretty much choose their most clutch players to shoot the FT's everytime, which is why you saw Ray Allen and Paul Pierce at the line and not Kendrick Perkins or Glen Davis. So even if Kevin was in the game, I don't expect the ball to go to him, and even if it did, he seems to suffer from the same mental weakness in crunch time that makes me nervous when he's at the line despite his ft%.

I'd like to put a vote in for Univ. of Alaska Anchorage...incredibly beautiful!
Hey! I work at UAA :) It is actually fairly common for moose to munch on the foliage right outside my office window. Next time I'll have to take a pic, I don't have any because it happens all the time so it doesn't seem picture-worthy.

Too cool!! I spent 3 summers in Anchorage when I was in high school and loved every second of it, it's the most beautiful place I've ever been! My grandparents used to live in Muldoon, and usually every morning I'd wake up and see a couple moose in their backyard(it was more like a meadow). I've been on the UAA campus plenty of times, and used to go jogging down to Earthquake Park alot. I cant wait to take my wife and kids up there to show them everything!:)

Indiana University, Bloomington
Just found out this morning I've been accepted to the School of Information & Library Sciences here. If the Art History department also accepts my application, could be I end up with two alma maters on Brick's list.

Hell, to go for three, lack of campus aesthetics is certainly not the reason I dropped out of Dominican. It, and surrounding Marin County, is right purdy. The only pictures I could find suck, but these are the two dorms I lived in:
