On a positive note, by this time you shouldn't even be bothering to hope that we pull one of these out. Up by a few points in the 3rd or early 4th? Its basically already a lost cause. At this at least we're consistent. We can't close, almost ever.

Boxscore

Stats: 41min 19pts (7-13, 2-4, 3-4) 6reb 3ast 3stl 0blk 1TO
Summary:not terrible considering the opposition, several times gave us goto hoops when Cuz was out.

Gay ( ) --

Stats: 21min 8pts (3-5, 0-1, 2-2) 4reb 0ast 0stl 1blk 0TO
Summary:several huge dunks, but too small in the end to help much on the glass, where we went small, and got crushed

Acy ( ) --

Stats: 36min 29pts (8-22, 1-6, 12-18) 11reb 2ast 2stl 0blk 4TO
Summary:did not have the touch form anywhere, blew numerous chippees, and took too many threes, left open for a reason

Cousins ( ) --

Stats: 39min 15pts (5-12, 2-3, 3-3) 5reb 8ast 2stl 1blk 1TO
Summary:decent job, albeit taking the ball out fo Rondo's hands. Some shaky decisions, but also some hustle on the glass and some offensive push.

Collison ( ) --

Stats: 37min 11pts (5-14, 1-3, 0-0) 3reb 6ast 0stl 0blk 1TO
Summary: for an example of what happened in Dallas next to Ellis, watch him in this game. Less of Kyrie's fireworks on Rajon than you might guess.

Rondo ( ) --

Bench

Remember that key stretch of eight tough games that we saw on the horizon a month ago that could either kill our season or give us some hope for a late run? Yeah we went 1-7. See you guys in June, if we keep our pick.

Anybody hear WCS's post game comments that were aired on the post game show? I like this kid more and more every day! And he's just as baffled by the lack of PT as we all are ...
I thought the interview was so significant, I made a thread for it to see your guys' thoughts about it.

Ironic this game - that a guy who's career is basically done (Caron) had a better game than the majority of our starting and backup SG's performances this season.

Karl should resign. He's unhealthy. He has terribly underperformed as a "HOF Coach". The team has played so much uninspiring bball this year it's disgusting. He and the front office should apologize to the fans. This sucks.

That sequence from 2.25 to 1.32 in the 4th quarter is the Kings' season in a nutshell. Kings players losing their defensive assignments even before anyone sets a screen, and not being able to retrieve them for one whole minute. Collison guarding Lebron James twice and Lebron actually passing it away on both occasions because Irving and Love were wide open for 3-pointers. Love then wide open for yet another 3-pointer, which he finally hit to put the Kings out of their misery. And on Irving's 3-pointer Tristan Thompson was wide open for the uncontested offensive rebound. Just completely chaotic Kings defense exacerbated by lazy effort, bad communication and the fact that George Karl played a lineup which was at least 10 inches shorter than the Cavaliers' unit.

The way we're playing, we don't have to worry about losing our pick.

The game was exciting for a while. Omri was slicing and dicing and haunting his old team with a fury and vengeance that will be talked about for generations and form new chapter in the annals of the sport....okay maybe not. :D

It is interesting how the Kings played with more intensity because LeBron was on the other side. If they brought that same level of intensity over the last three months their record would not be crap in an underperforming conference that was ripe for them to secure playoff spot.

It is also interesting how our two SGs were out and their absence was barely discernible because their contributions all season long have been barely discernible.

FYI....Boogie went HAM on Karl during a timeout. Or is it HAAM? Let's just say he was not happy. Video captured by someone in the nose bleeds

EDIT: Yahoo picked up the video.

I don't know at what stage of the game this video was captured but I bet he was furious over not having help in the interior to get the boards. There was a sequence in which the Cavs got two offensive rebounds in a row to ice the game in which it would have been nice to have Willie out there.

On one hand Willie got torched by Irving on two drive and finishes but on the other hand he is twice as long as Acy and simply can cover a lot more ground on the perimeter and challenging inside. I would expect Boogie was pissed he was left out there too often with Omri/Rudy on front court and was demanding to his coach he provided more help.

I do feel bad for the guys because this has been just a miserable stretch of basketball. Just miserable. But at this point we are better off losing and possibly shutting down Boogie so we can get Dunn (great combo guard prospect) or Buddy Hield. For the misery this team has gone through and patheticness on the perimeter we need consolation and source of hope instead of relinquishing pick to a better team.

Willie has a lot of confidence in his game as reflected in his post-game comments. Unlike Ben.
